Have you ever had your life totally flipped upside down? Everything that you thought you knew about the world completely obliterated in one simple moment. How about finding out your own mother is some cosmic being that's millions of years old? I thought being punched through a wall was the hardest thing I'd have to go through, I was wrong apparently. Now our city Is being decimated by an unstoppable alien menace. We'll see just how unstoppable they are.
Gideon...
Gideon....
ANGEL DUDE!!
Gideon had been lost in his own world for the past hour or so until that annoying, yet hyperactive voice filled his ears.
"Yeah kid, what do you want?" He looked up at Ethan, his gaze was distant, looking at the teenage boy but not really seeing him at the same time.
"I know you just like had a car dropped on you.. well not really, metaphorically I think is the word, but our city is going up in flames angel dude, we need to do something.." He had a worried look on his face, wondering if the inspiration he got from his friend was no longer there.
The rest of the group walked up to Gideon and Ethan while two of the keepers were still attending to Horatia after the little incident.
He looked up to the group, scanning their faces from left to right.
Cass, Alyssa, Olivia, Wyatt, Tobias. All this happened because of me.
"Hey I know that face man, and you're not taking this on by yourself." Tobias grinned, arms folded across his chest as he stared at his best friend.
Gideon tried to speak but was cut off quickly.
"You saved me from myself and the marine corps, it doesn't matter why this happened. We just have to stop it, right?" Cass nodded her head towards him and the rest of the group.
"I just want to set something on fire, and if that means a bunch of alien creeps, I am all in." Alyssa gave thumps up.
"I have not had the greatest time since all this happened 3 months ago.. but I feel I cannot give up on this city just yet. I am with you, until the end." Oliva nodded her head in agreement.
Gideon looked to Ethan and Wyatt, both had stupid grins on their faces obviously they were going to participate and nothing he said would stop any of them.
"Well look at us, acting all heroic. I guess it can't be helped."
The color seemed to return to his face, his eyes seemed to glow with a fire of inspiration as he slowly stood up, a smirk forming on his lips.
"We have a city to save, or at least die trying, might as well go out with a bang?" Gideon grinned at them, that sparkle of life back in him now.
Wyatt stepped up to everyone, having to jump up tapping everyone on their forehead quickly, a shock of energy flowing through all of them.
"Ow, the hell was that man?" Tobias rubbed at his temple slightly looking down to the kid.
"Well I figured we will be taking different areas, I've connected us all in case we need to talk or strategize or something. Think of it like Bluetooth for the mind!" Wyatt grinned looking at them all. They shrugged and nodded as they turned walking towards the keepers attending to Gideon's mother.
"You need to send us back, we can't stop them from here.." Gideon looked at the two hooded figures. They both looked at each other before stepping out of the room without a word. The 7 looked at each other quite confused but moments later the entire group of keepers walked back in holding an assortment of items.
