Kageyama's POV:
The past six months with Hinata have been amazing. I've really learned what it's like to love and be loved. Sure we've had our ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world...even volleyball.
I would do anything to be with Hinata for the rest of life.

"I wonder if he'll like it." I think out loud to myself as I wait for Hinata on my way to school. It's Friday and I am taking Hinata out on a date tonight for our six month anniversary. I don't have too much planned just getting meat buns and then to the park, but hopefully tonight is special.

~~~
"Oi, Tobio. Are you ready?" Hinata asks coming up behind me as I was look through my bag to make sure the thing is still in there. I finally found it and secretly moved it to my pocket, so Hinata wouldn't see it.
"Hmm, lets go," I stood up, slinging my bag over my shoulder.
"Bye boys, have fun on your date." Suga called after us with a devious look on his face. I had a sudden feeling of de'ja vou.
"Yes, mom," Hinata called back.
"Does that mean that Suga calls Daichi, Daddy?" Noya asked smirking. Suga smirked.
"Why, yes. Yes it does."
Woah. We need to leave. I grab Hinata's hand and start to pull him towards home. Once we were on the road I intertwined our hands and slowed my pace a little.
"So I was thinking that we could stop at my house first to change and take showers before our date."
"Sure that sounds good. ....by the way, what are your plans for tonight?" He asked.
"Well, I just thinking something simple. Maybe get some meat buns and go to the park?"
He glances down at the ground with a small content smile and slightly blushed face.
"I would like that."
We walk in blissful silence the rest of the way to my house. When we get there all the lights are off and it seems like no one is home. I find a note on the kitchen table.
"Tobio,
Something came up at work. Won't be home until Sunday night. Here's some money for food.
Mom & Dad"
Hinata walks up behind me as I finish reading the note.
"Do you want to stay the night? My parents will be gone all weekend." I asked still holding the note.
"Sure," he says wrapping his arms around my waist from behind. I turn around in his grip to face him. He looks up at me with warm eyes.
"Happy anniversary Shoyo." I say before leaning down to plant a soft kiss on his lips.
"Happy anniversary." He warmly says back to me. We stay in each other's arms for a bit.
"I'm going to take a shower, so we can get meat buns." He looks up at me with a grin on his face and I can't help but chuckle a little.
"Alright....maybe I'll join you?" I ask smirking. He lightly hits my chest.
"Nooo, then it'll be longer before meat buns." Hinata half whines, but he's being playful. I chuckle again.
"Alright, alright. Dumbass. Go take your shower then." I use my now nickname for him that has long lost any bite to to it.
~~~

"This has been the best date yet." Hinata exclaimed waving our interlocked hands around.
"I'm glad...but I'm hoping it'll get even better." I say the second part mostly to myself and check my pocket again for probably the hundredth time since we left the house.

We are walking in the park now and come up to the swings we always sit at. Hinata starts to drag me over to them and we sit. I push myself a little with my feet, just enough to sway a little.
"Tobio...this really has been a great date.....I love you." He wasn't looking at me when he said this, in fact his eyes were closed. But he had the sweetest smile and the faintest of blushes.
What did I do to deserve him? He's just so great in every way possible. I can't ever loose him, I have to make him mine.

I guess now might be the perfect time to do it.

I stand up and walk to in front of Hinata and kneel down.

"Shoyo," I start and take his hands, "I know I say it all the time now...but I truly do love you. You have shown me what's it's like to have a true friend and to truly be happy. You have become my whole world, my sunshine....I don't know what I would do if you ever left me and I  don't want to ever find out..." I pull the small box out of my pocket.
"So I got you this," I hand him the box, I'm too embarrassed to open it for him.
He takes the small box and opens it, his eyes go wide.

"Tobio...I..."

"I know we're only first years in high school but I also know I want to spend the rest of my life you. So these are promise rings...until we're older and...you know...can get married."
His eyes are still wide glancing between me and the two gold rings in the box.
I look away from him, my nerves really catching up to me since he's not responding right  away.

Suddenly his arms are around my neck and we're falling backwards onto the ground.

"Of course Tobio! I love it! I love you too, more than anything!" He kisses me several times before sitting up to put the ring on. He grabs the other one and motions to me for my hand and slips it on my finger.
I look at the ring on my finger and I can't help but smile.

"Oi, dumbass. I was the one who was supposed to put the ring on you not the other way around." I tease him.
"Sorry Tobio. I just got too excited." He said still beaming with his smile.
I practically tackle him now so that I'm on top of him and start to shower him with kisses.

"You're going to .....have to ....make it up ....to me then." I saw between kisses.  He lightly pushes me away.

"Hmmm...how about I....I'll propose next time and you can do the rings?"

"When you propose...?"

"You know....when we get engaged..."

"You think I'll say yes to an idiot like you?" I tease him.

"Yes, because you're just as much of an idiot as I am."

"I'd really be an idiot if I did say no."

"I love you."

"I love you too Shoyo. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
