She's there. But you don't notice her do you?
She's the type of girl who would, sit longingly at the back of the bus.
Her eyes filled with deep meaning, deep determination.
But you still never notice?
Right?
CHAPTER ONE, MARIA
A busy and crowded hallway, full of students rushing to leave the school. There was noise, almost dethening noise as every student hollered when they spoke to make sure their voice was heard. The roars of the students could be compared to lions fighting for dominance, every time someone spoke they got louder as to talk over everyone else. It was chaos, it always was, everyday, three o'clock. But amongst the chaos was a girl. She never made any noise and strangely enough she didn't hear a word from anyone else. Nothing anyone said even made her flinch. This wasn't because she just choose not to listen, she was listening, but in her own little world. Song lyrics bounced back and forth from ear to ear, booming out of her silver ear phones. The song was such a calm soothing song that it allowed her to block out all of the ruckus around her and just get trapped in her own little world.
Music meant so much to her. It was the only thing, the last thing, that she had to keep her going. She had no friends. No Father. No one. Her mother never listened, and she usually didn't listen in return. It was like there was a blockade surrounding the two minds that were constantly at war.Well, at war ever since
her Father died.
Locked dead in her thoughts she didn't even realise that she had been off the stairs for quite some time now. She'd been past the street and was now out in the open, standing on the outside of the school's main door. Alabaster white snow carpeted every inch of the ground however the wind was surprisingly light. This was abnormal considering where she lived. Scotland.
Two boys shoved past her. People often forced her out of their way so she was used to it, and frankly she didn't care either. Normally she would say something back, or in this case trip them up in the snow, but something stopped her this time. She looked nervous - scared even, she thought she had seen something. But it wasn't possible, right?
Because Ghosts aren't real.
Are they?

A/N
No don't think this is some kind of stupid ghost story, it isn't. And I'm not planning to write about that.
Who knows maybe the thing she saw wasn't even a ghost ;)Either way thanks for reading this, it was a really short chapter and "I'll try" to update.
Or well by I'll try I mean that if I find the time or energy to update it.
