I know Kara isn't a celebrity but this child is way to cute. Picture of Skylar.
Through out the rest of the day I kept a close eye on Dylan. You could call it stalking but I was only trying to help him out. Not smiling can have a bad effect on someone when they grow up. Even if you had a shaky past you could pretend to be happy and not make everyone miserable because you are. That's just selfish.
The bell to the last period rings and I quickly grab my bag to walk out when a hand pulls on my shirt making my head snap to the right.
"Hi." An almost squeaky voice says. I look down to see a small child with brown braided hair and a green dress holding onto me.
"Hi," I greet her, "And who may you be?"
"I'm Skylar," she beams, "can you be my friend?" Her eyes a little pleading.
"Of course I'll be your friend." I take her hand and lead her out the class with me.
The hall way was parsley deserted by now. Everyone in a rush to go home or out with their friends.
I held her hand in mine and started down the hall. The few people in the halls looked at me weirdly before rushing off. Skylar released my hand and rushed towards the vending machine.
"Can I have a chocolate bar please?" she asks looking up at me with those big brown eyes. I just couldn't refuse her.
I pull out a coin from my bag and push it in the hole and press number 3 for the snickers bar. When it falls to the bottom I grab it and hand it to her.
The way her face shined when she took it from my hand and finally had it open made my heart warm in my chest. She wraps her tiny hand around two of my fingers and pull me to the school exit. I laugh and follow after her.
When we are outside I look down at her chocolate covered face and smile. I pull out a wet face towel and clean her face for her.
"Your so adorable." I whisper to her.
"Thanks. My brother always tells me that when he come and see me." she squeaks.
"Well he ain't lying for sure. Now how are we gonna get you home?" I show her my thinking face and she giggles.
"You- look- funny." she says in between giggles. I frown a little and start to tickle her making her crack up in laughter. I hold her close to me and hug her. She reminds me of Janae when she was younger always laughing and smiling.
The screeching of brakes makes my head snap in the direction of the of the road. A black car pulls up in front of us and a tall almost scary looking man in a grey suit steps out.
"Miss Williams its time for you to go home." he voice surprises me. Its so calm, sweet and most of all soothing. As my aunt used to tell me 'don't judge a book by its cover.'
Skylar looks at me sadly before letting go of my hand.
"I have to go home or daddy will be mad at me. Thank you for the chocolate." She starts to walk away but turns around and runs straight into my arms.
"I will be back tomorrow. I love you." she quickly says. Sneaky little girl she is.
I nod my head before letting her go. She runs to the car and gets in. I stand there looking as the car drives off and disappears on a right turn.
I wonder who her father is. She must come from a wealthy family but which one.
Fear stricken my heart when I think maybe her father is the most evil man on earth. The man I want to kill more than anything.
