I was scared for my life. I just wanted to get out of there. Out of the corner of my eyes I saw the man get up. "Hey, i'm not finished with you yet". Water filled my eyes as he limped over here. I just started running. I ran out of the store onto the road, no traffic in sight. I ran all the at to my, now old high school. I stopped at the door to my school panting and sweating. I look through the window and all I see is darkness. I cover my arm with a sweater and smash my arm into the window. The glass shattered and pieces of glass were flying everywhere. I slide my hand into the broken window and grabbed the doorknob, twisting it as much as I can before the glass that was still on the window cut me. I got the door open and stepped inside. I walked down the hallway INHALING all the dust. My coughs echoed throughout the school. I walk into my old homeroom and was overwhelmed by memories.

"Is Mrs. Roberts boring or what" Gale said as I laugh and smile. The fact that  he was trying to flirt with me had me blushing. He is the hottest guy at our school and to think he is talking to me. wow. "so how bout we go out sometime" he said. I was screaming on the inside with joy. "uh sure" i reply.

I was so young, i thought to myself. I look around the classroom and silence filled the air. I remember the green chalkboard and the white walls, but now. It's just an old dusty bland room that smelled like burnt plastic. I walked down the hall to the gymnasium. I've never seen it so empty in my life. I heard screaming coming from the upstairs floor. I hid in one of the classrooms. I soon realized it was the chem lab. However something was way more different about this room then any other rooms. There were test tubes on the ground and needles everywhere. I saw blood on the floor and it looked and smelled like someone was murdered in here. I quickly leave the classroom and go upstairs. I was scared and helpless. I reach the doors to the up stairs floor and hear a faint scream again. I push my body to the wall hoping not to see anyone. However I was mostly hoping that whoever that was didn't see me. I open the door to the second floor and look around the corner before throwing all of my body out there. No one was there. I was in the clear. I let out sigh of relief. I looked over and a someone tackled me down to the ground. It wasn't a human, it was a zombie. He was leaning over me as I started to fidget. He was already just a few inches away from my face with each second he got closer. Everything went blurry and i heard a ringing in my ear. I unzipped my bag and grabbed the knife. I looked at him as he was just an inch away from my face. I plunge the knife into his stomach, drool dripping out of his mouth. I quickly get off of him and regather myself for a few seconds. I knew why the government kept taking people away from their homes. They didn't want the outbreak to spread. I stood there still in shock wondering if the government were bad people or if they were just trying to help.
