Curtis's POV

That morning I saw Carlianne wearing her iconic black tee-shirt and grey vans. She was gorgeous. I didn't understand why she went threw so much trouble yesterday to look good for a guy that doesn't even know her. I never told her how I felt or show that it bothered me when she went out with other guys because I know that I would never be able to have her. She was talented, beautiful, smart, and I was one of the few people who understood her. When her parents shut her out, I let her cry on me and I let her stay with me when she couldn't go home. We had more memories than you would be able to count. She was my world, I just never get to tell her.

In biology class, I caught James staring at her like she was naked. I was tempted to walk over to him and punch him in the nose. When I looked at her she was looking down at her notebook concentrated. She always looked cute when she was concentrated.

I heard the lunch bell and raced to Carly's locker. When I got there she was already talking to Jess, about James.

"Oh my gosh, James is so cute." I heard her say. This boy was really irritating me.

" So are you going to go out with him again?" Jess asked. I cleared my throat to get there attention.

"Girls" I said as enthusiastic as I could

" Hey loner where have you been?" Carly asked me with her big dark brown eyes.

" I got caught up by a teacher" I lied.  "Where too for lunch?" I asked.

"Anywhere but here." Jess said. She doesn't know I like Carly but always teases us about going out.

"After you" I made a gesture for the girls to walk ahead of me.

We decided to go to eat sushi for lunch. We buy our food and take our seats. Carly always sits between me and Jess.

"Movies tonight?" The movies was the closest I could get to a date with Carly.

"Not me I have important 'family business' to go to." Jess's parents always had a family dinner on Friday's and she was "forced to go at her own will" as she would always say. I turn to Carly for an answer.

"Yeah, I'll go" she gave me one of her shy smiles and looked down at her food. God she was beautiful.

"Cool, do you wanna go home first or straight to the movies?" I asked already knowing the answer.

"Movies, I don't fell like dealing with my parents today"

"Cool, Jess you sure you can't come?" I hoped she really couldn't come.

"Nah, you two have fun without me" she winked at the both of us.

Carlianne's POV

At the movies, Curtis bought me popcorn. Whenever we go he never lets me buy my own stuff. He always said that I needed to save my money for emergencies. We find our seats towards the middle of the theater. As soon as the movies starts, I lay my head on Curtis's shoulder. I can see him smiling in the corner of my eye. I never understood why he always smiled at the littlest things I did. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

I was sitting on the edge of my bed and I hear a knock on the door. "Come in" I said.  Curtis walked in and I stood up from where I was sitting. "Hey gorgeous" he said. He flipped his brown hair as he walks toward me. Staring me down as puts his hands around my waist and pulls me closer. Our eyes meet and his lips touch mine.

In what felt like 10 minutes, Curtis wakes me up telling me the movie was over. We stand up and walk out of the theatre. He drives me home and I couldn't help but think about the dream I had. I look at Curtis as he focuses on the road and I thought about how I didn't like him like that at all.
