I am my mother's daughter
For we share unfortunate qualities
For I pick my petals to hand out to strangers
For I shave my edges so others do not get entangled in the intricate mess that is my mind
For I feed others, whilst starving
For I forget my existence and focus on yours.
For I forget my name and the only name on my tongue is yours.
For I love others, whilst loathing myself.
I am my mother's daughter
For we share more than our last name.
