You traded me the seeds of your love,
I gave you mine, my sweet dove.
Together we grew them under dead trees,
And slowly they gave life to the mahoganies,
Blooming softly, creeping across roots,
Our little world was no longer moot.
Dull grey rivers turning cerulean
us running around like hooligans.
And together we grew our garden of love,
Sweet birdsong from above.
And then we grew older,
Our love became tucked away, lost in some folder.
And our garden was still blooming,
But not the way it used to, it was dying.
In my dreams I saw you in the fields,
And what I saw made our fate sealed.
You were fading into the distant sun,
A ghost, you were in love with another someone.
And your flowers faded away as did you,
And I realized your flowers of love were just like you,
A ghost, a spirit lost in the wind,
They were Phantom flowers,
Your heart, I will never win.AN- I did it. I finished my first book on here! I honestly can't believe it and I can't believe that I've written for this long! I am proud of myself, and I want to dedicate this last chapter to Tisfor for being such a lovely supporting person, and her comments really helped encourage me to keep writing! I love you guys so much, and I have my next poetry book planned already! If you read my last chapter, I did want to take a short break from poetry to try a short story. The chapter before was a sneak peak of what I may or may not be writing a book about ;-). Please do tell me if you enjoy that idea, and I can't say enough how excited I am to finish this book! I love you all, catch you later❤️

Oleander-COMPLETED
PoetryALL RIGHTS RESERVED Her words were like oleander flowers, so delicate, like a gossamer spider string, but poisonous, like her scarred, despondent heart. *in other words, my crap poetry that is still really important to me*
