Rosemary's POV
I woke from the easy slumber, and stepped into my fur robe I laid out the night before. I went out and prepared myself some food, and I decided to shop around today mid-meal.
I dressed in a yellow dress, and pinned my hair in a tight bun. I then applied some neutral makeup, and deemed myself ready for society's harsh gaze. I slowly rowed my way to the bright 2-way mirror, and slid it open. I maneuvered through the various furniture and statues of the opera house, and made my way outside.
I was out at the market all day, and had bought a rather large sum of small snacks and pastries. Mother and Father aren't here to care, so, why not?
As I was walking home, it grew dark. I didn't realize it, having grown up in shadow. Suddenly, my arm was grabbed tightly. I spun around to meet the source, and found myself stumbling back from the foul stench of alcohol on the man's breath. I squealed, and made distressed noises, and slapped at his chest and arm, which was all I could do in our close proximity along with his harsh grip. There was no one near, and I was alone with the monster.

Narrative POV

After he finished his 'deed', he zipped his pants, and left her, weeping, and bleeding in the street. She cried herself to sleep, since she was too injured to move. When she woke up, even more sore than the previous night, she hobbled back to her home, leaving her bags of produce and bobbles.
She wept until she could not produce any more tears. She received a letter from her father, saying that her mother and him would be slightly delayed. But that they'd be back no sooner than a month and a half.
She wept for her parents, and what her father might do if he found out. How her mother would hate herself for letting her stay, how her father would torture and murder her attacker, and how she would weep for them all.
A few weeks down the road, something, Rose noticed, was off. She counted the days, and weeks, and realized, she'd skipped her period.

A/N
Sorry for the lack of updates, and how bad they've been. I'm really trying. Also I'm super swamped because of school, and choir. We have competition next Friday, and I'm singing Music of the Night in solo and ensemble, so that'll be cool. Anyways, good day/night!! Love you guys!
