"AH!" I screamed. My alarm, Maneater, by Nelly Furtado went off, but along with the alarm came a pair of huge blue eyes inches away from mine.
"Wake up!" Kathy said. I summed up a bitter glare and threw my covers to the floor. "We already have your car packed and all. Did I mention we were bringing the jeep? Or not the jeep, your jeep. But I suppose we could call it The Jeep because we all use it. Anyways, Damien's downstairs and he's making eggs and bacon. Did you know we walked over here at three in the morning just to get ready early? It's a six hour drive, you know. I just had my first cup of coffee. It was really good. Damien says I'm taking really fast but I think he's just delusional. Well, I'll be warming up the car..." She trailed off as she walked out of the room.
I walked over to my closet and grabbed my towel, still damp from last night, and walked over to the bathroom. I've always had a bathroom in my room. It connects Nina and I's bedrooms together. I stuck my hand behind the shower curtain and turned the knob to extra hot. My shower takes longer time to warm up if you put it on a specific angle, so I just turn it to hot and adjust it once I'm in there.
I stripped off my pajamas and stepped into the shower. The warm water made my skin prick up and turn into goose bumps, until it realized the water was hot and not cold. Once I adjusted to the water, I quickly washed my hair, scrubbing out all the grease and grub, and then covered the ends in conditioner.
I grabbed my teal loofah and covered it in soap. After lathering my legs in the soap, I pulled out my razor. I haven't shaved in weeks. No one notices though, because my leg hair gets pretty light over the summer.
"Ow!" I looked down at my leg and saw a bunch of blood pouring from the smallest cut imaginable. Oh no. Do I need stiches? Holy crap. It's bleeding. Concentrate Quinn. Whatever you do, don't stare at the blood. "Someone! Call the paramedics. Fast!" I finished rinsing the conditioner from my hair and wrapped a towel around my dripping body.
"What?" Kathy asked, running into the bathroom with the phone in her hands. "What happened -" She stopped when she saw the small cut on my leg. She rolled her eyes and then lectured me about scaring her like that because 'I could have ruined the cliff diving opportunity'. As you can see from my little 'incident', I am not very fond of blood. Or anything that has to do with the inner body. Part of the reason I don't have any zits or acne is because it freaks me out. If I ever get a zit, I do everything in my power to get rid of it,
I ran a brush through hair, getting out all the snarls and then threw on high-wasted jean shorts with a white Autism Cares shirt. After throwing my hair into a quick, obnoxiously messy bun - that didn't look very 'pretty' due to my sopping wet hair.
I walked into my parents room and shook them lightly. "Bye Mom, bye Dad. I'll miss you both so much. See you in August." I gave them both a quick kiss on the cheek - or whatever wasn't covered by a blanket - and waved goodbye.
"Bye sweetie..." My mom mumbled. Good thing I said bye last night, or they would wake up wondering where I went. Not like they would suspect anything. They know I barely leave the house without permission. I'm too afraid of my parents wrath.
After kissing both Mike and Nina on the cheek, I walked into the kitchen. "Well, it took you long enough!" Damien exclaimed.
I gave him a sarcastic smile. "Well, good morning to you too." I paused. "Oh, and by the way, don't ever give Kathy coffee. Ever. Again." I stage whispered.
She whipped around and smirked. "Too late." She gulped down a huge mouthful of coffee.
"Hey! That was my cup!" Unlike Kathy, one of the things I can handle is caffeine. I'm also good at handling alcohol.
"Yeah. Was." She paused, looking smug. "I'm getting in the car. Don't take too long, kay?" She walked out the front door, carefully closing it, making sure not to wake anyone up.
"Yeah, I'm out." Damien walked out behind Kathy, not being cautious at all, letting the door slam. I cringed. 3...2...1...
"Mom!" I heard a voice call out from upstairs. That's my cue. I poured my coffee in a portable cup, fastened the cap, and then rushed out the door, this time, letting it close.

After the longest six hour car ride I've ever been - and only been - on, we finally arrived close to the top of a mountain I've never heard of. Apparently, this is one of the shorter mountains because if it was anywhere close to the taller ones then it would be so cold that there would be snow. "So this is where we'll be staying in for the next two months, huh." A heard footsteps and someone come up beside me.
I sighed. "I guess so."
"What's wrong?" The voice asked. It was probably Damien.
"Do I need to tag along for the cliff jumping part? Or the bug exhibit museum? Do I have to come out on a boat with you and speed across the lake? It's like you planned for me to face all my fears in one trip." I scoffed. Why didn't I put two and two together? I should have realized this before I came. I remember Kathy listing all the events, but I must have zoned out...
I turned around and saw Damien looking sheepishly at me. "Maybe..." He looked down at his shoes. "Sorry, but every time we try to do something adventurous, you always sit out. It's no fun anymore. Your no fun anymore..."
"What?!" I shrieked. "When was the last time I sat out of something? Huh? Name five times."
"On Thursday, when you didn't ride on the back of my motorcycle because you don't like speed, and then walked twenty miles back home. Oh and Tuesday, when we were gonna play games off the high dive, but you insisted that you should be the referee of who wins the game. Oh and on Monday when we tried to get you to come to the zoo with us, but you were too afraid that the bears were gonna break through the two inch thick glass. And on Sunday when you..." He listed tons of events.
I threw my arms up in the air. 'If I was such a killjoy you could of just told me." I grabbed my ten pount suitcase and dragged to my room. Kathy's stuff was already on the bottom bunk, so I guess I got the top bunk. I bet you I'll hit my head at least once.
You cant bet yourself, stupid.
Says who?
A loud sigh interrupted my thoughts. I swiveled around and saw Kathy talking to Damien. I hid beside the doorway and ease dropped on their conversation. "...who the hell are they? Damien, you didn't tell us that there were people staying in the other side of the cabin?"
"Yes I did! Come on, there not gonna be that bad."
"Look at them!" She pointed to something to her left.
I stepped a little closer to the doorframe and poked my head out the doorway. "We can hear you clearly from here, you know." I saw something walk up, and my mouth gapped open.
Two boys and one girl, stood there. One boy and girl looked eerily alike, but one of them stood out.
He was very tall and toned, with a chiseled jawline, and brown hair. He was wearing a leather jacket, and had a smug look on his face.
But he was also, very, very, attractive.
This is going to be the longest two months ever.

I hope you liked this short chapter haha. Don't worry, as long as you pretend to laugh at my lame jokes that I try to incorporate into this story then I'll make the chapters longer.
