--> An Hour Later <--
Finally. The top of the mountain. In the dead drop middle a little cottage was perched nice and calmly.
"I know it's nothing special, but it's home to me." Jack said, sounding sightly depressed. "Um. The cottage is in front of us, the lake... is behind it, and free space is everywhere else. Ah. Home sweet home." Jack finished off.
Nothing was extra ordinary here, but I guess it was nice and cozy.
"What do you think?" Jack said, as he opened the door to the cottage.
"It's good and all,but I'm just interested in what I can do to stop a castle from burning." I told him, as I walked in. A fireplace kepy the area nice and toasty.
"Oh... about that..... There was no fire.... I just needed an excuse to get you out here..." Jack told me, as he sat on a couch infornt of the fire.
I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!
"YOU! I came all the way here for NOTHING?!" I yelled in his face. He turned back to me in a rage.
"FOR NOTHING?! You call this nothing?! I've brought you here for a reason." He told me, but then calmed down. "Just give me some time to cool off." He left the cottage, leaving me all alone in the living room.
I mumbled, as I walked over to the couch he was just sitting in.On a rail on top of the fire place, a few pictures stood up. A little boy and little girl were skating on ice, with a huge smile on their faces.
I looked at all the pictures, and sighed. That little boy looked so happy, and it was something I hadn't felt for a long time. I stared at the little girl's face for a long time, as if trying to remember somethig I couldn't.
I just shook the feelings off, and sat back down.
Home, sweet, home.
Thanks!!! :) That's all!!!Byee!!! :)
