The day we met

chapter 5

-the next day-

"are you ready?" my dad asks me and i nod smiling. he is picking me and zayn up from the hospital getting ready to go back to the hotel. we get into the car after walking out and as soon as we start driving my dad pulls out the question i have been dreading for him to ask. "what did he do? what did that bastard do to make you starve yourself?" i can hear the pain in his voice. zayn is in the back being very quiet so i decided it was now or never.

"he cheated." i start. "i was at softball practice and before my choir practice at 7 i went to go see him. i knew where he kept the spare key and let myself in like i usually did. i walk into his room and i see him on his bed with laury on his lap with him half naked and her almost there, making out. i said that it was over and to use protection and walked out. i started crying and skipped choir. when i got home mom was there and i went straight to my room and decided that i was the problem and started to point out all my flaws." i finish.

"what did she do to contribute?" he asks more hesitantly.

"about a week after she started to beat me. she started calling me a whore and her mistake of a daughter. she only used her hands at first but then started using bats and knives and things with spikes on them. i can feel the bruises still. she really hated me." i stop with a tear slipping down my cheek.

"lex, im gonna be taking a quick trip home to Ireland ok? you will be staying with the boys for the week." he says and i just nod. i lean my head against his arm and he puts his on mine. "i love you pumpkin." he coos and i just nod not trusting my voice. we pull up and get out, making our way up to the rooms zayn puts his hand in mine and squeezes. i go into the boys' room and all of little mix is there.

"baby!" i hear perrie screech and my mood dampens even more.

"no perrie you need to leave. i already told you its over. your bandmates can stay if they want and when you can accept that i don't want to be with you that my heart belongs to someone else you can come back." he says in a clam and collected voice. she huffs and grabs her coat.

"come on girls." she says and they don't move.

"you heard him, we can stay. just because you cant accept that his heart belongs to lexy doesn't mean we can stop being friends with them." i hear jesy explain. my head snaps to zayn and hes red. i blush too knowing the one that i love could love me back. perrie huffs again and walks out. i roll my eyes and get tackled into a huge little mix group hug. i laugh and they join. the boys pull us all into one huge group hug and i pull zayn into his room. it looks like it hasn't been touched on months. oh yea because it hasn't.

"was jesy serious when she said that your heart belongs to me?" i ask and he blushes again.

"yea. i love you lexy. perrie was just a distraction from you. because i didn't think you liked me." he says and looks down.

"well dose this look like i don't love you?" i ask then kiss him. after about 10 seconds of shock he starts kissing me back. all i feel is sparks run through my body. fireworks go off all over the place and i smile into the kiss. we pull away at the same time and he smiles.

"that could be. well that means i just have one question for you mrs. lexy Higgins." he says with a cheeky smile.

"what would that be sir malik?" i ask in a posh accent.

"will you Alexandra Leanne Higgins (not real name) be my lovely girlfriend?" he asks getting down on one knee. i laugh and nod my head. he stands up with a huge grin on his face and kisses me. the way he makes me feel when he touches me let alone kisses me is such a good ass feeling i could do several back flips off and onto several buildings. this guy makes me absolutely happy and i don't think anyone could ever replace him in the place he has in my heart. not even Louis the carrot kind could fill the place i have for him. even though i love my carrot king very very much.
