"Is it still a no?" He asked, his voice was deep yet soft at the same time.
"Hard and cold."
"Oh, come on, Lou! Live a little. I can be your tour guide and show you around town. It'll be fun!"
"And why not after school or in the weekend?"
"Because...
"Well," I threw my hands up in the air, "I'm here."
Liam smirked as I approached him on the football field. "I can see that."
I rolled my eyes as I stood a meter away from him, arms crossed and not too happy that I was missing Chemistry for this again. "Where are we going today, Liam?"
"Uh," he scratched the back of his neck, "I don't know yet."
I stared blankly at him for a minute. "You don't know?" I shrieked. "You were sending me text messages in class, telling me that it's some big adventure you had planned and here I am, missing class for you again, and you have no idea where we're going!" I was beyond mad at Liam for this.
"You're missing class for me?" Liam's blue eyes met mine. "How sweet of you, Lou."
"I lied to a teacher!" I yelled, my voice echoing the empty football field. "I lied to a teacher."
Liam dug his hands into his pockets and chuckled. "You're getting good at this."
"You think this is funny," I glared at him with my arms still crossed over my chest, "you think that this is all one big joke to you. I'm going back to class." I turned around and began walking back to class.
"I wouldn't do that if I was you," Liam yelled as I was nearly off the field.
I swung myself around and glared at Liam. "Why not? Are you afraid to be ditching all by yourself, with nowhere to go?"
Liam chuckled, looking too chilled out for my liking. "No, miss smartass," he crossed his arms over his chest, "if you go back to class and you walk in, the teacher will ask you why you're not sick anymore, assuming that's the lie you told and since you don't appear to be a very good liar under pressure, you'll crack and you will probably get a detention for lying and that detention will go on your record for life. Do you really want that Lou, do you really?" I stared blankly at him, knowing that he was completely and utterly right. I couldn't go back now and risk getting a detention, that would ruin my reputation as a good student, but I think that was ruined as soon as I skipped the first day with Liam.
I sighed and walked slowly back towards him. "Fine." I mumbled.
"Good," Liam smiled happily, "let's go!"
He started walking on the field and into the burning sun. I quickly followed him, watching my back to make sure nobody was watching. "Do you have a plan, Liam or have you lost your game?"
He stopped in his tracks and swung around for his eyes to meet mine again. He looked down at me and smirked. "I haven't lost my game, Lou. I've just started playing."
"Then tell me where you are planning on taking me this time." I heard the bell ring in the distance, making me turn my head at the building.
"Like I said," Liam started walking again, "it's a surprise."
*
"You made me ditch just to stay on school grounds?" I raised my eyebrows at Liam, "I thought you were taking it to the next level. This isn't the next level." My eyes scanned the a huge, tall castle that stood before us. It was right behind the school and I was more worried about being seen.
