Stronger than immortals

CHAPTER TWO

By the time Mark realized where he was, the warmth of his home surrounded him. He switched the lights on just so he can see the way to the extra bedroom. The rock tile floors leads the way. Slowly he walks to the cozy but small room,fitted with a bathroom of its own.

He was in such a frenzy that he saw but didn't really see any of the plain decor in the room, he didn't even care about the wet body that he had to put down on the bed. He got his medical bag and placed it on the chair that he moved to the bed.

Fortunately all of the windows were still closed. The wind that was present a few minutes ago just got worse.

Closing his eyes just for a fraction of a second he sees Billie's ash white body again.
Things are a bit different now he can't focus on what happened to Billy, he made a mistake somewhere he should have pressed harder to get him the new heart. Mark knows he failed the child but this little girl deserves a fair chance too.

Mark forces himself back to reality He needs to focus on the here and now.

The girl has a broken wrist. Quick and gentle as possible splinted and bound the wrist, he gently re dressed her small frame with some of his warm clothes. After her bruises were taken care of. He felt a little bit better about this situation. He carried her to his room where he could switch on the tiny heater he has never used before. He also covered her with a thick soft duvet and after he was sure that she is comfortable as possible he just stood there looking down on the peaceful sleeping girl rage quietly flared in his blood.
This was one of the things that angers Mark about these stupid humans. He will put his head on a block to say that this was done by some man. He nearly succeeded in killing this girl.

On Amicita stuff like this never happens, such a man should be given his own treatment here on earth. Beating children and women should get the death penalty because in the end they normally kill those they beat.

Guessing that the girl he found tossed out like a piece of garbage is leaning over twenty, twenty one. He could be wrong, she is tiny and very fragile looking compared to her kind. She's very bony so Mark had to caution himself to work even gentler. Mark vows to take care of this girl and he swears that he will get to the bottom of what happened to her very soon. Actually as soon as she wakes up, come hell and high water the one who did this will pay for his deeds.

After giving her something for pain he closes the door behind him, Adrenalin slowing in his blood.

Today is a strange sad day. He had never felt so drained.   Not even mentioning that he misses his home. Hell, he even misses their rules. Also to be totally honest with himself he even his dimwit brothers.
Even after he was tossed out and even after he landed here on earth. There was a lot of was times he wondered if his brothers felt like he is feeling right now. Alone Vulnerable and angry because this is his situation. Why have they never made a plan just to evaporate just to come and see him, did they even care about his well-being?

In the kitchen, the third and last shock arises. 

  West is standing there.  Not that it's even a possibility. It can be that his mind is playing tricks on him again. This hallucination is acting Like he had been here a million times before. Slowly the ghost of Marks past moves closer towards.  Instinctively  Mark retreats,  Feeling how panic sets in. Surely Mark is losing his mind completely.

 He will never in his exile see any of his family ever again, they abandoned him here out of fear for retribution. Mind tricks because of his guilt for not being able to save a soul like Billy. And it is simply against the Amacitian rules. 

''You look good little brother.'' The apparition spoke.

If it is his brother, the end of Marks roam on earth is near.  He will accept death without fear.
