Valentines day. The day designed for romance and love; Yet there are people out there who find it to be day of loneliness, a day they dread. For Harry Styles, this was the day he felt lonelier than ever. He hated this day because of the memories it held, so he always dreaded it when it came around again. He prefered to just ignored the overly affection couples and keep his cell phone turned off so he couldn't receive any calls or texts from his friends and family.

To understand Harry's hatred of this holiday, you'd have to go back to the day it went to shit for him. The day he lost the love of his life, Louis.

*5 years earlier. 2014*

It started as a good day for the young couple. As a gift from Simon they were granted permission to film a short twitcam, a twitcam in which they would come out of closet and reveal to, not only their fans, but the entire world their love.

As a nice gesture, and just simply being the nice boyfriend that he is, Harry thought he would wake up a little earlier in order to make breakfast for his boyfriend of three years. He got out of bed, leaving Louis there, and made his way down to the kitchen to start on Louis' favorite, eggs on toast with a cup of tea.

As Harry began to set the food on a tray to bring upstairs, he heard the running footsteps of his lover and the slamming of a door. Harry sighed, this was the third week in a row he heard Louis getting sick in the mornings.

Louis had gone to the doctors a few days prior, but didn't let Harry come along. He came home and claimed they said it was just the flu, but Harry was no longer buying that.

Taking the tray with him Harry went up the stairs to their room setting the food on their shared bed and going into the bathroom. He found Louis hunched over the toilet, dry heaving. "Ugh." The boy moaned, flushing the toilet and staying hunched over it. "Go 'way 'Arry." he said waving a hand in the direction he thought he felt Harry's presence in.

"Loubear, I think it's time we go back to the doctors. I'll make an appointment for tomorrow. Okay?" Harry asked crouching down next to Louis rubbing soothing circles into his back, there and ready for him when the next wave of nausea hit.

Later in the day Louis was feeling better, so the couple decided to pull on beanies and sunglasses and go for a stroll in the park to calm their nerves before the big reveal of their love to the world. This would be there last time out together, in a way, before the public knew of their relationship. This was there last few moments of being seen as "best mates."

Harry entwined their hands together, bringing them up to his lips and pressing a gentle kiss to Louis' knuckles. "Hmm, I'm going to miss this," Louis said, looking around as if he was taking pictures in his mind to keep stored for when he's no longer around.

"You act as if we're breaking up, or will never get privacy, Lou," Harry chuckled swinging their joined hands up and around to put his arm over Louis shoulders, still keeping their hands locked together.

"But Haz we won't have the privacy like we used to after the twitcam. Everyone will want the details and such. I'll miss it all." Louis mumbled the last part hoping Harry didn't catch that, which he didn't. Harry never really ever heard the clues Louis dropped; If only he did hear them.

Returning home, Louis went to set up the twitcam while Harry made tea. A few moments later Louis came back in setting the laptop up in the kitchen so the fans could see Harry and Louis. Louis took a deep breath before hitting the button to get it started. Louis was seated in front of the webcam, Harry fiddling around in the background, as he greeted the fans. "Hello!" Louis exclaimed excitedly and waved his hands around.
