Helping You

Bullied. Have you even been bullied? I have. Going to school everyday and have people make fun of you for looks, vision, the way you talk, personality, everything. I hate it. I was bullied until I learned to stand up for myself. I'm not saying I don't get verbally abused still and I do I just don't let it get to me as much as I use to. But maybe I let the confidence go to far....

Harry Styles walked into his school that day with his friend Niall, who is outspoken and isn't afraid to speak his mind and tell people what he really thinks. Harry used to never be his friend only after Niall moved there and one of Harry's old friends introduced them and harry realized Niall wasn't all that bad of a person that people said because of the school that he came from. Harry had gained some sort of new found confidence with having new friends who really liked him and not having to just pretend to be a friend to someone who he didn't feel like he should be around if the bullying was to continue.

Doing the unthinkable Harry had joined them unknowingly. It started with just nodding along with what people had said and going along with it. Never really putting in his own words. Then one day they asked his what really thought and he spoke the words he will never forget. "Yea, he's really annoying." Those words started it all for Harry. He thought maybe they would like me better if I put into the conversations more too. It actually didn't. It gave the bullies another person to talk bad about behind their backs, saying he was twofaced since he was friends with the person.

Louis Tomlinson was always in the background of things. Stayed away of the drama and was involved with the journalism club so he always had a ear for the gossip going around, just never saying anything about it so he wouldn't be involved. He knew of Harry's predicament and knew of the bullying. He also saw how broken and hurt Harry truly was and how he just needed a true friend who wouldn't steer him in the wrong way like a lot of them were. Louis had Harry's number some how so why not send a text telling the boy what was happening and help him out a bit. Little did Louis know that that text would actually break harry more along with his confidence in the little things he did daily.

---

Unknown: I'm not trying to start anything but Harry you have to stop this. The bullying another kid who is just like you is wrong. Please listen to someone and not hurt anyone else. You know how it feels to be bullied and that's exactly what you're doing to Liam. He's hurt like you are and being a bully isn't going to help.

Harry dropped his phone as the realization hit. He never meant to make anyone feel like he did. He never meant to let this go on for so long. Harry just felt like crying, crying for a few years and let everything drain. Be done with the school and the stupid things he said to that one old friend. He wish he could take it all back and not have said anything when asked. He didn't regret being Niall's friend though because he was actually a good friend. He only regretted the things he let them get in to.

Harry: Thank you, whoever you are. x

Harry simply texted back before locking himself in his room. He didn't come out for a day and his mum was worried. Everyone noticed the drastic change in Harry's mood once again. He was back to his shell because of one text. one text ruined it all, but helped in so many ways. The Harry many people worked for to keep up, was crushed. He had become what he didn't want to be. Had become what he made himself swear he would never be. That devastated him; he had failed himself and Harry was done. Done with the world, everything. but then there was another text.

Unknown: Don't torture yourself for something you didn't mean to become. x

Harry didn't reply back to that one just stared at it for an hour before throwing his phone in his bedside table draw and slept and waited for the next school day to come and torture Harry with silence. The next day at school Harry kept his head down and didn't talk to anyone but the teachers getting the work he missed for the two days he had skipped. He stayed to himself mostly after that day too and the only inaction his phone got was texts from his mum, sister and that damn unknown number. Day by day they came in and Harry never bothered to reply.

Unknown: Please don't do anything stupid because of this.

Unknown: They forgive you, you know.

Unknown: We still love you, Harry.

Unknown: Just know we miss the old Harry even if he said a few things he didn't mean.

Harry was getting more drained day by day and didn't know how much longer he could put on a fake smile for his family who wanted their Harry back. He needed saving and the unknown number was trying to be that but with Harry never replying to them and letting himself fall even more, it was only a few days left before it was all done with.

Finally though one night when Harry contemplated doing more than just scratching his thighs to gain some relief, he texted that number back.

Harry: Who are you?

Unknown: Your friend x

Harry: I have no friends. They all were friends with the bully of me. I'm not a bully.

Unknown: A few of us still care for you, love. Even if you don't actually know me.

harry: No one cares for a bully.

Unknown: Louis does and so does Liam.

Harry: Who's Louis?

Unknown: Me.

Harry didn't answer back and the next day at school he saw harry in the hallway walking to a class, Louis talking to Liam, and sent a real Harry half smile his way and finished walking to class. Louis had unknowingly helped with a few simple texts and being unknown while sending them. later within the year before graduation Harry had received a new text this time under the name of Louis.

Louis: Go out with me? x

Harry: Only if you promise one thing.

Louis: What?

Harry: Help me not do anything else stupid, like being a bully to innocents like myself.

Years after that Harry had graduated from college with a degree that allowed him to be a counselor to help young students at school not do what he did, not to become the thing they were afraid of, a bully. He had the one person who helped him and loved him through the process of getting over everything. The one person who thought of texting him randomly. The one person who stood in the audience cheering him on as he walked across the stage at his college graduation; Louis. Harry loved that boy who helped him and didn't believe had be standing there if it wasn't for him.

"Thank you for helping me."

"I'll always help you, Haz."

A/N: gah its stupid and short and I don't know what I think of it and I don't know just something happened recently that helped with the inspiration for this and well it only literally took me two to three hours to write and I'm saying screw you to editing and thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this and please don't be a bully to anyone no mater what the situation....
