《 Angela's POV 》

I had a thumping headache, the gunshots and the explosions were too much for me, I was starting to drift off into another universe. I was in the middle of helping Genji when out of nowhere a landmine was set off in front of us, sending one of the enemy team flying, his body like a ragdoll. Another explosion rang out and for some reason, it was set off in the sky? Why the sky? I looked up and saw Fareeha had been hit, her engines had been blown and she was falling, spiralling quickly to the ground. Bullets were being fired trying to finish her off. At that point I snapped back to reality, my eyes widened and my jaw dropped, "Fareeha! I cried, I think she had blacked out which had made it much worse. I rushed to help her, stumbling on the loose ground but Genji held me back, "Get off me!" I choked through tears.

All he did was look down at me, his hand still gripped firmly around my arm, "Let the other field medics help her, we need you more than her." I paused and thought about it for a second, my mouth felt as dry as a desert and my forehead was pouring with sweat. I nodded swiftly, full of regret as I turned to help the others again, taking a swift glance over my shoulder to see other people I didn't recognise help Fareeha. My heart sank as I saw her getting taken away by them, why was it her? Why couldn't it be me?

As soon as the fight was over, we were put back on the flight home. We had won but I still wasn't happy, we had lost Fareeha half way through and I was getting very restless. My heart was racing and thoughts were flying through my mind at a rather high velocity. Genji was sitting next to me, his legs were folded up onto the seat and he had his weapons sheathed. I could tell he didn't care for Fareeha, he probably didn't care for anyone apart from me because of what he said on the battlefield today. He looked round at me but I didn't notice, I was deep in my thoughts. Genji gave me a gentle nudge and I jerked upwards, snapping out of my trance. "What is wrong with you? You've been acting rather odd lately.." he muttered, putting a hand on my shoulder.

I brushed his hand off and looked up at him, "It's Fareeha, I'm really worried about her." He looked down and puffed, I think he thought I cared about her more than I did him.. which I must admit is true but I mustn't show it. For the rest of the journey, we just sat in awkward silence. Every now and then I tried to talk to him but he just ignored me, it really wasn't like him. "Is something wrong?" I asked, looking back round at him. All he did was give me a bland and simple, "No."

A call rang out around the aircraft, "30 seconds until landing, fasten your seatbelts." So I buckled up and waited for the landing. It was rather bumpy and we hit the ground hard. I fumbled with the seatbelt until it came undone, I was in a mad rush to see Fareeha. As soon as I got up I ran to the medical ward, hopefully she would be in there. I slammed my hands on the desk, demanding to get the number of the room Fareeha was in and of course I did. I rushed down the hallway and swung open the door to my room, my panic fading as I saw her resting peacefully. She definitely had a lot of wounds from the guns and bombs but the most visible one of them all as her lost arm. It had been replaced with a cyborg arm so it was still usable, she was definitely in good hands with these people.

I slowly approached her, even though she was still in the black she looked beautiful. I took her hand in mine and smiled, sitting down next to her. "Thank god you're ok Fareeha and I hope it stays that way," I whispered, placing my head on her chest and listening carefully to her heart. The rythmic beating was calming and eventually, I was drifting off to sleep. The battle had worn me out. Worn all of us out. Before I slept, I said something under my breath.

"Please be ok.. Fareeha."
