Everett-

The plane ride to America all together took about eight hours. In that time Lacie and Everett talked a bit, with occasional awkward silences. At first he was somewhat of a drooling dummy, getting lost in her eyes or noticing small details like the way she hair shined or the locket he had given her when they were little. Gosh, she was just so stunning, she wasn't overly decorated like the women one would see in magazines or movies. He wondered how he had managed to get someone like her to kiss him all those years ago. Well, to be frank about it he had been shorter than her and she was still kinda pretty back then too. Since they last time they saw each other things got a bit off kilter. His parents had divorced and he had gone into sword training with his cousin. From all the sword training he had done with his cousin he had received the short end of the stick. Everett had received a Memory Link from Mordred while his cousin received King Arthur. His cousin instantly became the pride of the Verzillo family, leaving him as the older cousin who received second to someone younger. Not that there was anything wrong with younger kids, Lacie was younger than him by a year after all. The plane started to land and Everett could feel his ears popping. Finally they landed and he squeezed his nose and blew, a flight attendant had taught him that this was an easy way to fix that weird feeling you get I'm your ears when you change altitudes. As they left the plane into the airport, Everett was tempted to hold Lacie's hand, but after more than two years he wasn't sure if she'd be ok with it, they were only kids when they had kissed.

"Do you remember the name of the Mage family we came here to visit?" Lacie asked as they waited for their luggage at baggage claim. Lacie's voice made Everett's heart skip a beat. He needed to calm down, if he wanted to be at least casual with Lacie he would have to get used to having her around.

"Kinda, it's like Samuel or Sinbad, or something." Everett responded. Soon the luggages came into sight on the moving belt and they grabbed them as they went along. Everett couldn't help but notice the accents the people around them had. Americans spoke with such a weird drawl, in Italy they had always stereotyped them as people with southern drawls and always going to barbecues and such. Everett himself spoke fluent English with an English accent, though if he needed to he could speak Italian and little Spanish. As they walked by the two of them received stares. Older teenage guys wearing apparel ranging from baseball to football stared at Lacie while Everett received the occasional flirt from a girl. Lacie looked like she had been in situations like this before, not batting an eyelash as she received longing stares from guys and envious glares from girls. The exits came into view.

"I heard that Chicago, Las Vegas, and New York were famous tourist attractions to visit when you go to America." Lacie said as they searched for a car with a sign that had their names on it.

"That seems kinda far from where we're staying." Everett responded.

"Well whatever as long as we have fun." Lacie said. Everett's eyes rested upon a man with thick white hair in a butler outfit holding a sign with the names Lacie & Everett on it.

"Hey I think I found it." Everett said. The two of them walked over to the man.

"We're Lacie and Everett." Lacie said. She let her mana blaze, a bright lilac color outlining her silhouette like clouds . Following her lead he allowed his mana to blaze to life, except his was a crimson color and had more of a mist like outline. The butler nodded and opened the door to the limo. To normal humans, that display of magic probably appeared to them as some sort of light ray. Unlike mages, regular humans had an ability called the sight, which allowed them to see into the magical world of the unseen.

"Master Sinclair will be happy to meet both of you, he has a children around your age you know." The butler said. So that's what their family name was Everett thought to himself. What kind of people would American mages be like, he let his imagination wander as he say quietly next to Lacie. Maybe the Sinclair kids would be cool and possibly help him be less awkward around Lacie. After all, Americans are supposed to be straightforward and charismatic.
