Quickly I turn around and embrace my sister. I hadn't seen her for several months and my parents acted as if she were dead.

"What are you doing still living here?" She asks.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean mommy and daddy have been dead for months, so why are you still here?"

"What do you mean they're right he-. What happened where'd they go?"

"Lilly, as I said they're dead."

"But-"

"We don't have time for that Lilly, they're coming."

Quickly Juvia grabs my hand and runs out of the house. She looks left and right only to find both ways blocked.

"Finally! We've been looking for you two for the past hour. How kind of you to come right to us!" The voice seemed to emanate from everywhere and at the same time nowhere.

Suddenly a strong pair of arms grab me from behind. Startled I glance over at Juvia to see that she too had been captured. "I think that you'll find these bonds hard to resist." Came the voice again.

"I bet I could!" I chimed in. ( Looking back now I realize that I probably should have kept my then tiny mouth shut.) As I struggled against the pair of arms holding me captive, I realized that the arms weren't as strong as I originally thought them too be and within a couple of minutes had my arms free again.

"See!" I grinned, "Not hard at all!"

Then directly in front of me, a gruesome figure emerged from the shadows. His face seemed to be twisted in an unnatural sneer. "I thought I told you not to let go of her!"

"I didn't boss! One minute I had a hold of her, the next she was waggling her hands in front of your face." Gripped the strange man who had been holding me captive.

"Well, what are you waiting for grab her again!"

The next couple of minutes seemed to pass by in slow motion. The henchman lunged out at me, Juvia wormed her way free, and we both started running. I had gotten about halfway to the edge of town before I realized that Juvia was no longer by my side. "Juvia! Juvia where are you?!" I hollered.

I waited for a response but, none came. Again I tried calling out and again no response came. Five minutes passes, then ten and fifteen. As more time passed, I began to realize that Juvia wasn't coming. This was hard for a little six year old, who had only just realized that she had been orphaned to understand. At least it was hard for the first five minutes.

Once I fully grasped the fact that I was truly alone, I turned tail and ran into the forest.
