Miracle in two Weeks

Chapter nine

April came and with hopes of good days. Ali was at work and Susan had the day off work.
" I'll be back shortly I need to get stuff for dinner " I said to Lynn as I grabbed my keys and purse.
" ok" Lynn said , her face in her phone typing to her friends. Lynn lived on her phone , constantly talking and texting. Lynn was 14 and she was not much for leaving the house. She always put up an argument if we made her go anywhere.

Susan headed out the door for the car , it was a nice day so she cracked the window and drove off . At the store she got the chicken and veggies she needed for dinner and headed for the checkout. While standing there waiting she noticed some pregnancy tests and thought about if she should try. I should buy one but is it really worth it . The last one was negative and my period isn't due yet. After debating with her self she grabbed a test and finished checking out. Once at home she unloaded the car and went in the house. She debated on taking it now or wait till morning. Susan decided to just take it now , feeling sure it was just gonna be another negative.

Once in the bathroom I open the box and took out the test , I stood there biting my lip hoping to be wrong about the negative. Once I finished using the bathroom I placed the cap back on the test and proceeded to wash my hands and clean up . after three minutes passed I looked at the test and I was shocked . There was a plus sign , not dark but it was there. " oh my god!!! Thank you ... thank you" I cried, so happy that my prayer was answered. I grabbed the phone to call Ali at work.
"Hello" Ali said . " hi baby , how's work "  I asked trying hard to contain my tears and excitement. " it's good " he said . " I want to tell you something " ...  ok he said , what's wrong?  Were pregnant ! I said letting out a sob .  " Really , are you sure?" He asked me .
" pretty sure but I will make an appointment to be sure." After talking a little longer I disconnected the call and called my doctor.

I was at work and just finished with a customer and the phone rings it was Susan . I could tell by her tone something was up and then she tells me she's pregnant. I thought oh shit this is really happening, immediately thoughts run through my head.....can I do this , am I gonna be a good father, and can we afford to have a.baby. I am happy just nervous, excited,and a little scared at the same time. I love Susan and now we are gonna have a baby . My life has surely changed in this last year but for the good .
