The Date

As Mark left the kitchen and returned to the guest room, Jack just stood there, left alone to his thoughts as they easily trapped him for quite a few minutes before he snapped out of it and went to his own room. If they were going out, Jack wasn't about to finish that sandwich no matter how hungry he might have been. He closed his door and looked through his closet, finding a suit that he'd worn to a lot of other things but oh well. It was nice and it was his favorite. He put it on and as he looked in the mirror on his closet door, he grew nervous again... It had been a while since he had been on a real date too. He put his glasses on as one last final touch and stepped out of his bedroom only to run right into Mark. When he did, he stiffened up and his face got a bit red again when he stared at Mark, even if it was simply his chest. "Sorry!" He said loudly before he cleared his throat and looked up at Mark's face, realizing just how good he looked in a suit now that he was seeing it right in front of him... In the pictures was one thing, but in front of him? Oh god.

Mark caught Jack as they bumped into each other and held him for a moment before he let him pull back. Mark could read Jack's face like a book and knew full well that he was admiring the suit, which made him chuckle again. But at the same time, Mark couldn't help but admire Jack. He had to admit, both of them cleaned up really well. "Well, I see you're ready to go." He smirked down at Jack, fixing a loose strand of hair that had been tousled upon bumping into each other. "I'm driving." He said in his deep voice before heading over to the front door, and before Jack could even try to object, he grabbed the keys. Once they were both out in the car, he started it and drove, holding Jack's hand with one of his own while the other stayed on the steering wheel. Once they got to the destination, Mark chuckled. They were at one of the best dining places in that town. It wasn't so fancy that they had to absolutely wear suits, but wearing them fit the "feel" of the date. He offered a smile to Jack before stopping the care after parking. "Well, we're here." He gently lifted Jack's hand to his lips and kissed it once.

It was another one of those moments where Jack couldn't bring himself to say anything even though his mouth was wide open. He didn't even have time to offer to drive or anything before Mark walked out with the keys and got in the car. Just because he was taking him out didn't mean he had to drive them there too... As they drove there, Jack sat quietly in the passenger seat, holding Mark's hand the entire time as he tried to calm himself of all the nervousness that had built up in the pit of his stomach as he stared out the window and watched all the buildings blow past them. When they got there, Jack blushed one final time as Mark kissed his hand then got out of the car. Jack got out of the car before Mark could come over and open his door for him, he absolutely wouldn't allow him to do that. For a moment, Jack froze after he got out and just stood there by Mark... What if some of their fans were there? What if they saw them having dinner together? "Mark... What if..." He started saying, his voice quiet before he suddenly grabbed onto Mark's blazer and buried his face in his chest for a second, like he was scared.

As Jack stood there, not moving, Mark looked at him before suddenly having Jacks face against his chest. "Hey..." He sighed softly and wrapped his strong arms tightly around Jack, holding him close, one hand gently rubbing his back. "I already thought about that... I don't give a fuck if someone sees us... I love you and that's all there is to it, it's your birthday and I'll be damned if someone tries to ruin this." One hand moved to tilt Jack's chin up so he and Mark's eyes would meet. Mark simply offered him an assuring smile and kissed his forehead tenderly. Nothing was going to ruin this night, Mark was going to make sure this would be one of the best nights of Jack's life, no matter the cost. At that point, he couldn't care less if someone had seen them together. "Besides, we could always just tell them to fook off," he chuckled lightly as he tried to imitate Jack's accent.

Jack felt so much better in those arms... so safe, and he never wanted to leave them. When Mark lifted his head so their eyes met, Jack honestly thought he was going to be kissed right then and there, in public! Suddenly Mark's lips touched his forehead gently however and he smiled cutely until Mark spoke again, trying imitate his accent which just pissed him right off. Suddenly he brushed passed Mark, trying to get inside as he got this angry look on his face, despite his cheeks turning a tiny bit pink. "Damn it, Mark, will you ever stop fuckin' teasin' me?" He asked, as this hadn't been the first, nor the last time Mark teased him about his accent.

Mark chuckled and followed close behind Jack, "Nah, you're too cute when you're mad." He spoke deeply and almost right by his ear before taking a long stride to get ahead of Jack with a smirk, walking backward so he could see Jack's face. "Besides, you secretly like it." He winked playfully before turning back around and leading the way into the restaurant. Once in, they were almost immediately seated. They had a couple candles on the rounded table where they sat across from each other. Mark didn't like that, he pulled Jack's chair closer so they were now right beside each other and adjusted the candles. "Perfect." Mark smiled at Jack and placed a hand on his under the table for a second before a waitress came to take their order.

Jack made a noise that said Mark was wrong, but that wasn't true, Mark was actually quite right. Sure it made Jack mad when Mark teased him, he couldn't help but enjoy it, however... When Mark spoke in his ear like that, he nearly tripped before he caught himself and continued walking in with Mark, following close behind him. As they were seated, Jack had been about to take a seat until Mark moved their chairs closer together and then he sat down, squeezing his hand gently when he felt Mark touch it. After their order was placed, they waited a bit and just talked, catching up properly and such... Suddenly Jack caught some girl staring at Mark awful hard, like she was checking him out and he got this feeling in the pit of his stomach that he didn't quite like. He didn't like that girl staring at him like that, it bothered him and before he knew it Mark was staring right at him because he had failed to respond to him... He had zoned out, thinking about how much he hated the way Mark was being stared at. "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to just zone out like that." He said and smiled softly, though something about the smile said there was something wrong just as his eyes glanced back at that girl one final time.

As Mark noticed Jack's silence, he placed a hand on Jacks' thigh and squeezed slightly. He didn't even say anything when Jack apologized, he simply followed Jack's gaze and caught the girl staring, who quickly looked away with a blush. Mark looked back at Jack and chuckled softly as he took his hand, "You don't have to worry about that because," He moved Jack's hand and placed it gently on his crotch, "This is all yours..." Mark whispered softly before kissing his cheek lightly. Once they were done with dinner, they headed home, this time Mark allowed Jack to drive. Right as they were about to walk into the house, Mark swiftly picked up Jack and held him in his arms bridal style, taking him inside and closing the door with his foot. "Happy birthday, Jack." Mark smiled before placing a gentle and loving kiss on his lips.

It was something that he hadn't been expecting Mark to do, what so ever, but he was happy when the girl finally looked away. As Mark moved Jack's hand and placed it on his crotch then whispered in his ear, it took all he had not to turn a bright red even though his cheeks were already filling with color as he lowered his head. He squeezed gently, unable to resist just before he moved his hand away and smiled shyly... sometimes he was just too cute. After dinner, Jack was allowed to drive his own car back home, happy they were finally away from prying eyes where only he would be the one to look at Mark. Maybe Jack was just a little bit greedy? He made almost a squeak-like noise when Mark picked him up and took him inside, clearly not expecting that either. Mark sure was full of surprises tonight. He nearly started crying as he clung to Mark when he told him happy birthday, in fact as he was trying to fight back his tears, one made it through and down his face as Mark kissed him. Even if Mark hadn't done what all he suddenly had planned, it was still, by far, the best birthday Jack ever had.
