"So now we need to work on your personality," Maddie explained. We just got back from the mall with a super cute pair of black jeans from Aeropostale, a long pair of dark brown boots and a lacy red push up bra from Victoria Secret with some low cut shirts. I also purchased a bag full of makeup. Then Maddie had suggested I get a jean jacket and that she would buy it for me.
"What do I do?" I asked.
"Ok, so when I say sup, you say nothing much and swish your hair to the side," she said.
"Sounds cool," I agreed. She stood up.
"Let's play that out. Ready?" Hey, sup?"
"Nothin much," I replied. I swished my long dark brown hair over to the side.
"That was perfect!" she squealed. I clapped my hands.
After that, she suggested a bunch of more things and gave me a bizillion tips. So much information was taking over my brain that I got a headache.
"Mad, I'm tired," I said around 8 o'clock. She even taught me to give people some cool nicknames when I talked to them. I was so impressed with my new self.
"Oh, ok. I was getting ready to leave anyway."
"Thank you Mad for everything," I told her. She smiled, gave me a hug, and left. It felt as if she was mad at me for some reason. I cleaned up all the clothes on the floor that I had been trying on and all the makeup scattered around my desk.
I looked out my window across the street at Seth's house. He was staring at me from the highest window, which I was guessing was his room. I quickly glanced away and walked over to my bed and plopped myself down. Seth staring at me? Me? This was the perfect time to try out my Victoria Secret push up bra. I put that on and a pair of short jean shorts and faced my door but made sure Seth could see me. Then I turned towards my window and bent down to pick up my shirt and slid it on. Secretly, I glanced up still looking down and saw him sitting by his window still staring at me. Yes!
I turned out my light and crawled into bed after getting in my comfortable pjs. Tomorrow, I was going to show Seth the new me. I looked up at the ceiling playing it all out in my mind, the fantasy that I thought would take place. But no, I was wrong. Very wrong.
