There are some interesting developments in this one. Hope you enjoy the chapter :)
Yui POV
It was simple to say the conversation, or should I say the lack of conversation, was as awkward as Kanato.
In all honesty, I couldn't care less about what they wanted to talk about.Though considering the fact that I couldn't expose the that I had an extra phone I had to endure them as a form of old fashioned entertainment. Yet, they wouldn't speak.
"You seemed to have lots to talk about just a minute ago," I remarked, breaking the barrier of silence that had been systematically pulsing through my eardrum.
" I still do," murmured my boyfriend.
Kanato was the next to speak , "As they say, the minds of the quietest people speak the loudest. Yet, I wish these would just projectile vomit their feelings already, this tension could slice cake. Mmm, cake."
"That ladies and gentlemen, was the longest dialogue that had been thrown from deficient Kanato over here."I spoke, slightly confused. I didn't know he could even say that many words consecutively.
"What's wrong with you guys? Huh? You're like shy school children too afraid to ask each other out, so they instead get their friends to do it for them. Hmm, Jordan? Ayato?" I remarked, I honestly just wanted them to speak. It felt like an odd form of punishment.
"Yui," he whined,"how could you date him! He's not me!," Ayato blatantly pointed out.
"Duh..probably why she likes him," comments Shu absently from the chair adjacent to him, I turned to the conversation as Ayato kicked the seat that Shu was draped lazily upon.
" I liked it better when he didn't listen to what we said, but when he was too engrossed in his dumb music." Ayato shot back.
Despite the tension, I was quite curious of what 'dumb music' Shu listened to. ," What do you count as 'dumb' music then, Ayato?,"I directed towards him.
He looked stumped," Just music that you can't even hear words, with screaming or overpowering acoustics."
Damn. I liked Ayato but that's one of the types of music I love. I guess in that sense I was diverse.
I smiled at Shu. He smiled back like a ray of pure sunshine. " That's the best kind of music," I spoke and for the first time I sent a look that could kill towards gorgeous Ayato.
I had to defend my music that I was so passionate about even if I did like Ayato.
Wait, did I mean to think that?
Ayato POV
Oh my.. if looks could kill. Wow. This girl had already captured my heart. What next?"Oh yeah," started Shu "that probably isn't the only reason why she likes him. He has tonnes of redeeming qualities. Plus Teddy thinks they kiss all day long, cuddling as well."
Things were beginning to get a little less silent. That's easily annoyed immortals for you.
"How many times? Don't address Teddy as though you know him." Kanato whined like a scolded child.
"I do know him though," remarked Shu.
I think if the bear could actually speak then he would be protesting against being here at all. Poor thing. Always in the firing line.
