I write a lot about my hopes for the future,
but keeping with the tradition of writing
one honest sentence a day,
I'll tell you that I write more
about my fears of the future.
Which if you think about it is futile,
but I suppose in a world
where I feel totally out of control,
writing about the future,
even the things that I don't want to happen
gives me a sense of security.
A knowledge that even if what I fear happens,
I will have already been down that road.
