The Autumn air was crisp and leaves drifted through the wind carelessly. Children laughed and danced through the yard littered with the colorful, decaying plant life. Parents sat on their porches, one eye on their offspring and the other catching up on the news displayed on holographic screens.
Then, the first bomb dropped.
Right on top of the little house that was secluded from the rest of San Diego.
The children stopped.
The boy fell silent.
The girl screamed.
