"Good Morning!" a teacher greets at the front door.

"Good Morning!" I say back.

"Okay where is locker 220?" I think in my head.

I finally find it and I try to get the combo in but it's hard.

"I hope I remember the code 24-38-56." I think to myself.

"Yes I got it!" I whisper.

I don't have much time so I put as many books as I can on my shelf. Then I walk to my class which is room 10.

"Thank gosh they have signs or I'd be super lost in this school." I think.

I'm almost to my class then.

"Who are you?" says some girl that is very tall.

"Oh um hi, I'm new here." I say back.

"Oh I got to tell Karen about this."

"Who And Why?"

"Why would I tell you byeeeeeee."

"Dang I'm not going to like anyone here." I moan.

Then she walks away.

"What was her name anyway? And Who's Karen?" I question in my head.

I'm right in front of the door of my class so I walk in. Then right when I walk in the bells rings so everyone is looking at me.

"Please take a seat." says my math teacher.

I find a seat next to some guy on the left and a girl on the right.

"Okay everyone we have a new student." says the teacher.

"Would you mind saying your name to everyone?"

"Sure." I say quietly.

"Hi, my name is Abby."

"Thanks Abby, my name is Mr. Orbick."

"Everyone welcome Abby." Mr. Orbick says loudly.

No one does anything except one girl that's sitting next to me.

"Hi, my name is Kaitlyn." she whispers.

"Hi."

"Okay class we are starting today with percents." says Mr. Orbick.

Everyone moans.

The day is going by so fast because it's already lunch.

I try my best to find the cafeteria and I did.

"I honestly don't know what to I guess I just stand in the line where everyone else is and get my food." I think to myself.

I go through and get my food and try to find a table to sit at then I hear my name.

"Abby!" I hear.

I look around and see the girl from my math class yelling my name.

I go towards her and sit down.

"Hey, since you're new I wanted you to come sit by me to get to know me better."

"Okay thx."

"No problem."

"I was you once." she says.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I came in the middle of the school year in 7th grade, It was hard so I want to help you and maybe we can become friends."

"Thanks!"

"If you don't remember my name is Kaitlyn."

"That's a pretty name."

"Thanks!"

"So why did you move?" Kaitlyn asks.

"I got adopted and then we had to move from my biological parents."

"Why did you have to move away from them?"

"I don't want to talk about, sorry."

"It's fine it was rude for me to ask."

"Your fine."

"Okay."

We continue eating and then we get dismissed to dump our trays and go to class.

"That lunch was pretty good because my old school's food wasn't very good." I say.

"Oh that sucks."

"Friends?" she asks.

"Friends." I agree.

"See you later, hope we have more classes together." Kaitlyn says.

"Me too." I say.

Then we go our separate ways to our lockers and our next classes.
