"Wake up!" yells Mrs. Dorby.
"Ugh, why?" I moan.
"It's the first day of school."
"NOOOOOOO!"
"It's okay."
"I guess so"
"Wait where is Mr. Dorby?" I ask.
"He drove back to get the rest of our things."
"Oh okay."
I go find my clothes in one of the boxes, I find the perfect outfit. I get changed and back to Mrs. Dorby.
"Where's my hairbrush and toothbrush?"
"I think they are in the box by your clothes."
"Okay thanks."
I go find the bathroom and brush my hair and teeth.
I finish after a few minutes and go to Mrs. Dorby.
"Are you ready for the first day of school?"
"Not really."
"It's okay I'm sure you will make new amazing friends."
"Yeah."
"I'm hungry." I say.
"Me too, we don't have time to go run somewhere to get some."
"Ugh." I moan.
"You will be fine."
"Get your shoes on and then get in the car." says Mrs. Dorby.
"Okay."
"Also I'll pick you up from school."
"Okay."
We get in the car and drive off. My heart is pounding.

We arrive at Lincoln Middle School. It takes about 8 minutes to get there, but it felt much slower.
"I'll drop you off right in the front." says Mrs. Dorby.
"Okay that's fine."
My heart was beating faster and faster.
"I hope you have a great first day!"
"Thanks!"
Then I get out of the car and walked up to the school. It was huge and it looks super nice.
"Watch it!" some girl yelled.
"Oh gosh sorry I got distracted looking at the school." I say.
"Bye" she says in an attitude.
"Dang that girl was rude."
"I better get inside school starts in 10 minutes."
"Ugh I'm talking to myself." I say in my head.
"This will be a great year." I think sarcastically.
Then I walk into the school.
