fading

"hello Alex can you hear me"i shouted expecting a reply but none came whats happening i thought to myself has Alex forgotten about me?my boss walked over to me "Alex has grown up and no longer needs an imaginary  friend" he said"would you like to be re-assigned to another human James ?"he asked 

"no" i replied " what happens if Alex gets a nightmare or gets lonely huh what happens then"i exclaimed angrily with tears welling up in my eyes as i remember the great times we had together like when i taught him to ride a bike or when i played with him when he was little.today was his first day of high school and when  he was  walking up to the gate he looked sad and lonely so i ran over to him but a crowd beat me to it it was unbelievable Alex was popular for once and didn't need me anymore i read an article about what happened to imaginary friends after their not needed and how they fade away  so i tried my hardest to make him need me i sat in front of him in maths to block his view but he just stared right through me and in home economics i chucked a blob of cupcake batter at him but he took it as a game and started a food fight which made him even more popular. in business i hacked his computer and tried to send him a message but he anti-virus ed me . the bell rang and after a long day of trying to get Alex's attention i had failed i sat next to him on the bus home " hi Alex" i whispered softly i stared at the floor but something caught my attention, my feet had faded away the fade travelled up my arm and over my shoulders with my last breath i whimpered "good luck Alex" then faded away completley
