It is a normal Sunday. James is home and we watch a movie. The normal couple stuff I guess.

I am laying on the couch with my head turned to the tv. My legs rest on James' lap and there's a bowl with popcorn placed on top of them.

After 30 minutes of the action movie James had picked out I get bored and start playing with my phone.

"My mom's coming over next weekend." I almost drop my phone when the words leave his mouth.

"What?" I ask surprised. "You heard me." He says, his eyes never leaving the tv. "But why?" I add unable to form a whole sentence. "Your mother hates me."

James shakes his head. "She likes you. She just has strange ways to show you her love." "Love?!" I almost yell. "Your mother hates me. She thinks I'm the most immature person on the planet. She keeps making jokes about me and she called me a slut in front of your whole family! That was on my birthday, James. This woman doesn't hate me, she despises me!"

My boyfriend finally looks away from the tv and brings his attention to me. "Emma, I don't want to talk about this now. It's Sunday. You still have the whole week to prepare for her visit. It's not going to be that bad. She's lovely if you know her right." He weaves his hand gesturing me that this conversation is over. I'm a bit taken aback by him defending his mother.

I quickly push myself off the couch and walk in the bedroom leaving James alone with his stupid movie.

It's Friday and Joanne forces me to buy a new dress so I look good when James' mother visits us. We've been walking through countless shops and we just can't find anything that I like.

"What about this one?" She asks and shows me a red one with long sleeves. "Nope. That's hideous." I say shaking my head. "But his mom would like it." Jo adds but I already have another piece of clothing in my hands.

"That's nice." I tell her and point to the flower printed sundress. "Yeah but I don't think that's the right one for this event." She bites on her bottom lip, something she always does when she's thinking.

"Oh god! That's perfect." She suddenly yells and hands me a blue strapless dress. "Try it on! It will look so good on you!" She squeals. I roll my eyes at her enthusiasm but give in.

5 minutes later I open the door of the changing room and Jo's eyes widen. "Wow! You look stunning!" She says and pushes me in front of the mirror making me look at my reflection.

The blue fabric hugs my curves perfectly and the color is nice with my long brown hair. I happily glance at myself and give Jo a thumbs up. "Now the old grumpy lady has to like you." She winks at me cheekily.

I roll my eyes before I quickly change into my own clothes again.

After I payed the dress we walk into a small cafe around the corner. It's a lovely place with red comfy chairs and small wooden tables. The smell of coffee immediately fills my nostrils and puts a smile on my lips.

We order and Jo begins to talk about Liam's lovely mom. I've met Karen Payne before and I can only agree with Jo. But secretly I can't help but be a little jealous and wish James' mother would be so nice too.

"Did you tell him about.. you know?" Jo suddenly changes the subject, surprising me. I shake my head and look down on the coffee in my hands. "Not yet. I can't stop thinking about it though." I admit. "About it or about him?" Her voice is soft and concern is clearly audible in it.

I want to answer her but what catches my eye next leaves the words stuck in my throat. Harry is walking in the caffe, wearing black skinny jeans and a black shirt.
