It was 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and I was still almost dreading the fact that I was going on a date with Harry today. Although, I was still really curious to know him. At about 5:30 p.m. I hopped in the shower and washed up. I had difficulty trying to find the proper dress for a first date. I thought about it until I came to a conclusion. I was going to wear dark skinnies, a turquoise sweater, and some converse. After all it was just a first date and didn't have to dress up like a super model just to impress him. I blow dried the damp, long, dark curls of my head and flat ironed pieces to make it look more alive and straight.
"Ding."
I opened up the door and there he was flamboyant Harry. He wore a a dark blazer over a white v neck and some skinny jeans.
"That's what your wearing?" he asked.
"Yeah is there something wrong?' I questioned.
"No no, it's just that most girls would wear a dress on a first date." he theorized.
"Oh." I replied.
"But you look beautiful." he assured.
"Thanks, let me get my purse." I told him.
"Don't worry about it, I'm paying." he said.
He opened the door for me to his black Range Rover, which I was not expecting. We drove down the streets of Rockwood, California where you could see the city lights and the night drawing in.
"Where are we going?" I asked him.
"It's a suprise." he smirked.
About ten minutes later we slowly came to a stop at an luxury building called the "Ambassador".
"Harry are you sure you want to eat here it's kinda you know, expensive?" I said.
"Don't worry it's fine, I got it." he reassured.
We entered the lobby that looked elegant with the classical beige furiture and gold rimming of the walls. I was really impressed just by the look of the place. We walked to the elevator where we entered and Harry pressed the button to the top level.
"Here wear this." he said as place the blindfold around my eyes.
I was still very curious as to wear we were going but I just followed along. When we reached the top floor Harry guided me carefully down the hall and up the stairs careful that I didn't trip.
"A few more steps..." he told me.
When we stop he opened up a door to wear I immediately felt the summer air hit my neck. He took the blindfold off from my eyes. A small gasp exitedmy mouth.
"Harry..it's amazing." I said astonished.
We were awaited by a table in the center of the buildings balcony surrounded by candles and rose pettles. I kind of expected it knowing he always tried to impress girls. He sat me down in a chair where he followed to sit on the other side. Two waiters came and served us steaks that look like it came out of a chef catalog and feeled our nose with delightful bursting smells. He poured sparkiling cider in to wine glasses as he suspected and knew we were to young consume alchol.
"Do you like it?" Harry smiled.
"Yes, it's perfect but how, how did you afford all of this?" I wondered.
"Well, my dad is a financial manager at Bmk, so he's has lots of money than he knows what to do with." he chuckled.
"So anyway, tell me about yourself, I wanna get to know you." Harry urged.
"What do you want to know?" I asked.
"Anything.." he said as he took a bite of his steak.
"Well, when I gradutate I wanna become a palentologist and study pyscology a bit. I'm a virgo and I was in gymnastics from the age 9 to 14 which I enjoyed. " I put out the there.
"My mom is a pyscologist if you ask me it's actually a really good paying job. I can definitely picture you as a virgo. Do you mind if I ask you something?" he added.
"Yeah, I guess so.." I quivered.
"Nevermind, it's personal." he shook.
"No tell me, I want to know." I begged.
"What happened to your dad?" he began.
I gulped as my head left his stuning gaze focusing on the floor.l hadn't talked about my dad that much alot because it hurt so much that he wasn't in my life anymore.
"Forget it, I shouldn't have asked." he objected.
"No, it's fine...he uhh left when I was five." I said struggling.
"Why'd he leave you like that?" Harry questioned.
"He met someone else...and he was abusive. I conjured.
"Elizabeth I'm so sorry." he consoled.
"Yeah, it was a long time ago anyway.." I huffed.
"I'd never hurt you." he whispered.
A smile crept across my face and my cheeks turned a rosy pink.
It was something about Harry that made me feel comfortable and safe around him. I don't know what yet though.
"We all have our demons..but that's what makes us humans right?" he said with warmth.
"Yeah," I smiled.
In the back of my mind I thought what demons could Harry possibly have? He seemed so perfect inside and out. I finished off the tender steak ad sat quietly.
After our date Harry dropped me off back at my house. I didn't want him to leave but we went our seperate ways. I went to my bedroom and change into my night clothes and checked my phone.
**NO MESSAGES**
I decided to text Josie and tell here about tonight kowing she'd be curious and excited to hear about it.
*sent messages*
To Josie: Hey I got back from my date, he took me out to dinner. :)
To Harry: I had a good time tonight we should hang out soon again. :)
*Ten Minutes Later*
RECIEVED MESSAGES:
From Harry: I did too so, ;) so I'm guessing you kinda like me now right?"
From Josie: Omg!! He took you to dinner, did you kiss him, did he kiss you?!?!
I laughed so hard; Josie always thought kissing on the first date was a good thing I don't know why though. Harry's message was sweet but predictable and I smiled because I knew that he wasn't a bad guy after all.
