If You Knew Me You'd Understand

Wow

So, I'm doing my homework and my brother just so happens to be watching Steven universe in the next room. It just so happens to be one of the episode where ruby and sapphire split and they're angry at each other during the camping trip that Steven and Greg decided to bring them on.

So my brother is watching it and I inform him about their sexuality. He says he knows and say that they are,

And I quote,

...

"Resbrians."

Now my brother does this thing where he would "blur out" bad words by adding letters to the word or say a word similar to it much like most people do.

But do you see the pattern here?

My little brother, a twelve year old, thinks that saying the word lesbians is a bad thing.

One my parents are fine with homosexuals. They are fine if their children turn out to be one even if they aren't to fond of it, but they believe it's fine because that is who a person is.

Two, his friends are fine with homosexuals because most of them love their own gender and most others have family members or other close friends that are gay or lesbian.

Three, the dimwit knows that I myself just so happens to be bisexual (though, to be honest, that doesn't help much since he doesn't show an ounce of respect towards me so).

And four, this isn't the first time my brother has done something like this. He downgrades women like they are supposed to bow down to men with filthy insults towards his own family.

For example, say that I would be strolling by him towards the kitchen. He would say something along the lines of "make me a sandwich because you have to follow my rules because I'm a man and I'm better than you.", and I "follow" along the lines in which he said ass whooping and do exactly that.
And, since he knows that I will slap him whenever he says something like that he would do the same blur stupidity he always does. But trust one on the quote "behind a joke is a little bit of truth."

But, yeah. I guess I didn't come here to prove much and only came here to vent and bitch. But that doesn't mean that you can't ignore it. When something like this happens you have to stand up for the right thing (which is why he stupidly ended the argument with an "I don't care." Just know that when someone ends an argument with a stupid insult, reel it in that you've won the argument)

Huh.

I guess I did mean to prove something.
