"Trust me."

His hands move from my face. Slowly, tracing circles down my arms and settling on my waist. I'm sitting on the edge of the table, and Harry standing in front of me, between my knees.

My breath is caught in my throat.

Lightly, ever so lightly, he moves his lips. He moves so gently, as if I'm fragile. It's a slow kiss, like dipping toes in a pool to test the temperature of the water. That's exactly what he's doing, testing the waters. Trying to see how I am reacting, how I'm feeling.

Personally, I don't know how I'm feeling. I feel numb all over, but in a good way. My heart beating erratically in my chest has me hyper-aware of everything; like the tips of Harry's fingers pressing into my waist and how his ring finger squeezes slightly tighter than the rest, like how his bottom lip is fuller than the upper, and how a single curl from the top of his head tickles the side of my cheek. His musk pours into my nose, a rich scent. Slightly spicy, but very homey. I inhale deeply.

Feeling bold, I move my hands from my sides, grabbing onto his forearms before sliding them up his shoulders and behind his neck. Lacing my fingers into his hair, I tug slightly. He groans into the kiss, and I have to stop myself from doing the same. There is not a sound more beautiful than Harry's moan.

The kiss depends. Once shy and hesitant, now getting faster and messy. Hands move up and down my waist, down my back, into my hair, to my face. I've somehow shifted closer to the edge of the table, and now Harry's chest touches mine.

I thought I was breathless before, but now I feel as if I'm suffocating.

I tug at the collar of his shirt, desperate to pull him ever closer to me. He must feel the same, as his hands suddenly grip my thighs and he swings me off the table. One hand stays under my leg, and the other is splayed against my back. I'm worried I'm going to fall, but remember that I need to trust him.

Lips still moving rapidly, Harry takes a few steps. My back hits the wall, and I hear a framed picture hit the floor. Hands now free, he moves them to my face. His hands are huge, and cover nearly my entire head, thumbs lightly grazing my cheekbones despite the speed of our lips.

I'm fully enthralled by the kiss, and don't hear the door to the office open. Harry quickly sets me down and takes a step back, leaving me wide-eyed and red-faced as I stare at the amused face of Doc standing in the doorway. Immediately I lower my eyes and feel a deep blush spread across my cheeks.

"I do remember telling you to make sure she 'takes it easy,' and so far, you're not following my strict instructions." The older man assumes a stern persona, though it soon fades to a knowing smile. He motions towards the door and I make towards it, ready to leave the situation so I can be embarrassed in the car.

As I move, Harry steals my hand and laces our fingers together. I give him a look, but he doesn't notice.

He and Doc shake hands, and I get a warm smile and a wink before Harry buckles me in and shut the door to the Rover. In no time, we pull away and are on the road.

Now that we're alone, I guess I expect a conversation about what had happened at Doc's, but it doesn't come up. Harry mentions getting a script from some place close to his house, and getting anything I'd need there. We talk about going out to get clothes, and even me using his sister's room for a while.

Conversation like this feels odd, so casual about me practically moving in for an extended vacation. Just this morning I was so ready to leave, ready to return to normal; back home to my tiny apartment and familiar, comfortable bed. Home.

Sadly, it'll never be home again. At least, not for a while. It'll be some time before Ray leaves with all his stuff. Even then, it may feel uncomfortable for me to live there alone, as we picked it out together.
