Little Late Night Dancing: Mary x Seto

(Mary's POV)

   I had woken up from a nightmare I was having. It was repeating a lot but I tried to hide the fact I was having them. Seto found out and would comfort me and help me fall asleep. It was really late and I didn't want to disturb his sleep since he'd worked a lot today. So I decided to go up to the roof and get some fresh air. It was a beautiful summer night, the sky was a gorgeous blue violet color where the stars illuminated it and gave it some extra glow, especially when a thin cloud went over it.

   I giggled slightly and played some music from the ipod Kisaragi had given to me a couple weeks ago. I never listened to music much but I enjoyed the ones she showed me. A song called 'the jellyfish song' started playing. It was from an anime Kisaragi had suggested but I haven't watched it yet. She showed me the song when I was feeling sad and it cheered me up quite a bit. Humming along I stood up and did small little dance steps along the roof, still trying to clear my head from the horrible nightmare I had.

(Seto's POV)

   I woke up to get some water and noticed Mary's door was wide open. "That's weird..she never leaves her door open at night." Walking in I noticed that her blanket was kind of messed up and her ipod was missing from her bedside dresser. Where did she go? I walked out and checked by the door to see if her shoe's were gone but they were still where she always left them. "Since she didn't take her shoes that mean she walking...hmm." Peeking my head out the door I looked up at the stairs that lead to the roof.  Did she go up there?

  I quietly made my way up to the roof to see Mary smiling and dancing to a song that she was playing on a low volume. She really looked like she was enjoying herself. I couldn't help but smile at her, but I couldn't help to wonder; why was she up here?
   I quickly made my way to her and smiled at her when she sung around and almost bumped into me. "What are you doing up here alone?" I must've startled her seeing that she jumped slightly when noticing me.

(Mary's POV)

   Seeing Seto did startle me a bit, how did he find me up here? Why was he up here? Putting my hands behind my back I rocked back and forth on my toes and heels as I looked up at him. "I was just clearing my head and dancing a bit.." He smiled slightly as he tilted his head to the left looking down at me so that our eyes didn't leave the other ones.
   "You had another nightmare didn't you?" "Eh?! N-No..." Seto stepped closer and rested his hands on his knees as he looked at me. "You could've told me you know? I wouldn't have minded if you woke me up." I glanced away so I was looking at the ground "I know.."

  A new song called 'unstoppable' started playing and I noticed Seto step back a bit. When I looked up I saw him reaching his hand out towards me, his gentle smile was on as his soft gaze met mine. "May I have this dance, Mary?" I felt my face heat up but I carefully took his hand and danced with him around the roof.
  "Ah! I - I'm sorry! I didn't mean to step on your feet!" Seto let out a small a small chuckle escaped his lips and he carefully lifted up my chin so I was looking at him and not our feet. "It's okay Mary, you're doing well." He spun me around a couple of times before pulling me close into a hug and just started swaying back and forth, humming to the song.

Seto stroked my hair softly as he quietly sang the lyrics. "It's me and you forever, through thick and thin and stormy weather. I didn't plan for this but I think I'm ready...we're unstoppable." I smiled softly as I nuzzled my face into his chest starting to get a little sleepy. Closing my eyes I held onto him to keep myself from fallin, slowly starting to doze off.

(Seto's POV)

   I noticed Mary was starting to get drowsy so I grabbed her ipod and turned it of before setting in my pajama's pocket. Kneeling down a bit I carefully scooped Mary up and carried her bridal style back down to her room. Little thing was already fast asleep, I hope she doesn't have another bad dream...poor girl deserves some rest.

  I gently laid her in bed and sat her ipod in it's original place before looking back at her. She was already curling up into her soft matteress. "Heh cute, all comfy already." I pulled her covers over her so she wouldn't get cold in the middle of the night and brushed some of her white hair out of her face. Smiling I tucked it behind her ear and kissed her forehead gently. "Goodnight, Mary." I got up and left the room, quietly shutting the door as I did.
