I was about to fire the gun when someone appeared. Seems like he immediately understand the situation.

Who the hell is he?

Why is he here?

How did he get in here?

"So this is your partner?" Shit.

"Just give me the pouch." I said. Still aiming the gun at him.

"So, he really is your partner." He said with a smirk. Walking towards the guy I bet soon to be a hostage.

"Don't hurt him" Shit. Just give me the fcking pouch.

"Hurt? I won't hurt him?" And just as I expected he grabbed him, wrapped his left arm around the neck and aimed the gun with his right hand on the head.

Fear was written in the hostage's face.

Can't he even fight back?

"Look, if you'll just give the pouch I will forget that you stole it and let you go. No reports, no evidence, nothing at all."

"I'm not that dumb, officer!" He shouted. I'M NOT AN OFFICER!

I slowly closed the distance between us but still aiming my gun.

"Don't come near me. Or else-" He paused.

"Else what?

He suddenly panicked. His breathe are now faster. A sign that he is scared.

"OR ELSE, I-, I-LL KILL YOUR PARTNER!!" Not this threat again.

"Kill him then." I immediately replied.

The thief didn't move. He was not sure if he heard it right.

"All I want is the pouch, not him. He is useless anyway."

He histated. I could sense that he is confused.

I just stared at him and stayed on my place. The hostage didn't move. I can see in his eyes that he needs my help. I guess this is his first time to encounter this kind of situation. Of course, who would have thought that you'll end up on a thief's arm with a gun aimed at your head. I tried my best to tell him through my eyes that:

"This will end. Just stay still and don't do anything."

But I guess my telepathy is my worst weapon. The hostage tried to escape from the thief's arm. I tried to grabbed the hostage away from him but the thief was fast and much stronger than him. He grabbed him tighter and plant the gun deeper on the hostage's head.

The hostage shut his eyes as he feels the pain caused by the gun that is pressed in his head.

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO MOVE! I WILL KILL YOUR PARTNER!"

How long will this last? I can't just stand here and stare at the two of them all night. I must do something.

Looking at the thief's face, there's no way that the thief would fight back. He's at the state of confusion right now. But he is carrying a gun. He can pull the trigger any time. I can't afford to harm an innocent civilian.

This is now or never.

And without hesitation, I ran towards him. I must save the hostage first.

"I TOLD YOU TO DON'T MOVE!"

But it's too late. The gun was fired. Blood slowly stained the ground and the dead body landed on it.
