'Come on then, let's get going Ash.' Toby told me.

'Yeah, yeah sure!' I said unconsciously, staring at my gifts.

I carefully place the flowers back in the kitchen in one of Mum's various vases watered and fresh, and the trainer box up in my room. I rush downstairs, avoiding the one I slipped on earlier.

'Ready yet, princess?' He joked.

'Not quite, frog.' I tease back.

So we walk up and just talk about our day really and how weird it's been for me this last week, it escalates and his arm ends up round my shoulder like we're best mates. Until a noise, out of nowhere stops our mid-morning trek to school.

'A-Ash?'

No no no no. Elliot, what about Elliot.

So I turn around and shake Toby's arm off me, making him frown and turn too.

'Not this guy again.' Toby groaned.

'I swear this kid loves me like his own Mum.' Elliot said sarcastically.

'Don't talk about my Mum.' Toby said, suddenly sad.

'Whatever.' Elliot returned.

I was just stood there watching them argue like a film, but I wasn't happy, at all, I was really annoyed at both of them.

Elliot interrupted.

Toby started on him.

For a reason though.

Yeah but Elliot had every right to ask if it was you.

'Anyway, why are you with this kid?' Elliot asked me, pointing at the saddened Toby.

'Well, ummm...' I couldn't get out my words, not in front of Elliot! 'He wanted to walk me up to school.' I managed.'Thats all.'

'Hmm okay.' Elliot said, giving Toby dirty looks.

Toby's friends spotted him from the front gates and he went over to greet them. Eli pulled me away and round to the delivery gates round the side of school. He was up against a wall and me at the other side of the lorry-wide driveway, then he spoke.

'What was that for?' He interrogated me.

'I had to accept him, he gave me gifts and I just had t-'

'Shh. What's that noise?' He asked. A lorry appeared from the entrance of the driveway and reversed towards us.

'Quick, come on!' Elliot said, gesturing towards the mesh fence at the other end. He jumped on top of a salt and grit bin and started to help me over the fence. We made it, but just, as Elliot landed at the other side.

'Hey! What was that for?' Eli yelled at the driver when he got out.

'Move out the way kid.' Said the stubborn driver. He walked off into a back door entrance. Me and Eli walked up to a metal ladder leading to the school roof, he just smiled and stared at me with those gorgeous eyes.

'Eli, I'm scared of heights.' I groaned worryingly.

'Do I look like I care?' The devil whispered. He walked over and picked me up, one arm behind my back, the other under my legs. All I did was smile as he skilfully climbed the enclosed ladder using only his back and legs.

'Oh my god I love you.' I spoke. We run on the roof over to the entrance where all the students were coming in for tutor period.

'Hey, ummm Ashl-' He almost said, before I squeezed him in embrace.

He's so nice.

He hugged me back just as tight, but I think I enjoyed it more.

'Yeah?' I moaned into his neck.

'Can we make it, like official?'

'Baby please no promises, but-' I almost said.

You guys love this story so much, but I gotta leave it here.
Even though I'm enjoying writing this, I need an end.
So, what's Ashley going to say?
