The female deer screamed out in pain, leaning her head back on the forest floor. Hot puffs of breath twirled into the air above her nose and lips. She was in the middle of giving birth to her first child.

" Marilyn..." A deep and husky voice called out to the female laying on the defrosting ground. Spring had just arrived and the snow was mostly gone. " Marilyn?!" the voice called again as a large male bolted out of the bush, falling to the female's side.

" Yes... I heard you call..." The doe said, sweat forming on her forehead, making her ash brown hair stick to her pale skin. " I can't make it to the hospital. The baby's coming NOW. " Marilyn said letting out a howl of pain.

Her body was contracting, pushing, bones braking as the new life was wanting to come into the world. The Male gripped the females hand tightly. Her palms sweaty and hot.

" Alright my love, I'm here, I'm here... " the Buck said calmly as he could be. Pushing the strands of hair sticking to the females skin back and behind her ear. " I'm here for you..."

With a few more pushes and screeches, heavy breathing and pants, a beautiful baby girl was born. An Albino baby.

" My baby..." Marilyn cried, sitting up with the help of her male. Seeing the pale skin and small white hairs on the small child's head, they both gasped.

" An... Albino? " The Male asked, his voice seemed to be full of anger. Marilyn sighed softly - in both annoyance of her male and the relief of pain.

" So what?" Marilyn grinded her teeth a little, grabbing the blood covered albino baby, holding it close to her chest the blood saturating her shirt. The sudden movement sent the baby into a fit. Whaling and crying, small arms and legs wiggling around.

" Ugh, shut it up already." The male snorted, his hot air puffing out of his nose like smoke.

" Chris. Don't be so harsh.... Its a new born. "

" It's a Ghost. " He glared at the small crying infant. " Shut it up."

" She is no Ghost... She's my little gem." Marilyn said, a soft smile on her lips. A few droplets of sweat falling from her face and onto her arms. Hushing the small child and rocking her softly, she instantly stopped her crying, cuddling into her mothers chest.

" You really think she's a ....Gem?! That... White mush?!" The Buck slowly helped his female to stand to her feet. Glaring down at the new baby.

" Yes... She's a dazzling Gem... So that shall be her name. Gem. " Marilyn panted softly as Chris helped her stand up. She cradled the baby in her arms.

" If it makes you happy, darling... But we can't stay here long. The smell of blood may draw in nearby unwanted guest. " Chris said and Marilyn nodded her head. Though child birth in deer gave off little smell, the smell of blood was the key thing that would draw in hungry animals.

                                                                                        ~

" Gem...? Gem?!" Marilyn called to her daughter from the first floor of there two store log house. It was a nice place, very organic. The furniture was made out of wood, carpets made out of wool. Blankets draped over the couch and seats. A small old fashioned T.V sat on a small stand made out of a rich dark wood.

" Yes mom?" Gem answered, walking down the big, hardy wooden stares. A long blue dress clanged to her small frame. Gem looked a lot like her mother. Her small high, sharp jawline but with slight chubby cheeks, long wavy hair that hit to her hips. The only main difference was Gem was pale, bright blue eyed, white hair and very skinny. Her mother on the other hand was slightly tanned, tall , nice big " birth hips" a flat abdomen  and large breast.
