sunshine radiating or moon illuminating?
there is something about the warmth in the day that makes the cold night worthwhile.
it's unfortunate to see the sun go down
but the moon shining in the darkness is a sight you can't help but gaze at
it is a reminder of the suns return, to appreciate
sunsets breathtaking, sunrises motivating
kids playing outside, a sound of pure happiness to not take for granted but
the chirping of crickets keeps you company when you are trapped in your thoughts
rain during the day keeps flowers alive and blooming
while in the hours of the night it can manage to keep emptiness away
it is beautiful to observe the twinkle in someone's eyes as they look up at the blue sky
yet the same could be said about the stars twinkling back down at you
dreams are lovely but they come to an end, don't they
luckily, nightmares do as well
is that a way to stay in touch with reality?
