Confrontation

"Hello Alex," said a man with a freeze gun pointed at her face.

"Hello Snart, what brings you by?" Alex asked, crossing her arms over her chest. 

"I've come to recruit you," he said, lowering the gun. 

"I thought you already had a partner," Alex said narrowing her eyes.

"Oh, I do," he said putting emphasis on 'I'.

 "Then why do you need me?" 

"I don't need you."

"Then why are you here?"

"I'm doing someone a favor," he said, giving his trademark smirk.

"Who?"

"Who, what?"

"Who is the person you're doing the favor for?" Alex said raising her voice.

"His name is Rip Hunter. If you'll follow me, I'll introduce you,"

"No,if he's one of your friends I do not want to meet him."

"We aren't friends."

"Either way. I said I was never going to work with you again," Alex said walking up to him ready to shove him out of her apartment.

"Lexxy, really?" he's says tilting his head to the side.

"Yes know g-"

"The team is good."

"What?"

"It's good. The people are nice and optimistic. They kind of remind me of you."

"When was the last time I was optimistic?"

"I'm not entirely sure," he said giving her a frown.

"That's what I thought." Alex paused. Not knowing what to do.

"So?"

"Let me put on my shoes and get a coat."
