Chapter 6 - Destiny

A week later....

'Ah..It's been a week since I didn't hear anything from Sunggyu oppa..'

Momo was at home,cleaning her room. While she was looking at the old photos of her and Sunggyu,the phone rang.

She took the call.

"Hello?"

"Hello? It's me,Sunggyu's mom.."

"Oh? Omoni..waeyo? It's still early morning..did Sunggyu oppa got drank again?"

"Momo, we're calling you to tell you something....

.

.

.......Sunggyu's gone now.He's no longer with us."

At the funeral event...

"Ah,he's just 22.."

" Poor kid. He just got to graduate soon. It's a waste since he can't attend to receive his diploma,"

"What could we do,he got a disease since birth. Let's just hope the best for him.."

There were many people whispering and talking about Sunggyu at the funeral. Momo could hear  them and the word 'disease' caught her attention.

"From what I know,his family were already be prepared for his death. And..living for more than 20 years is already a miracle for him.." a woman told to another women around her.

Momo just continued to listen to their conversation.

" ...lately he seemed to be like weaker than usual. He always stay in his room.."

So that's why...he..

As soon as Momo heard that,her legs given out. And she remember something...

All the words that came from Sunggyu,slowly coming into her mind one by one without leaving any single piece

'Can you go and take a look of Sunggyu? I'm worried of him..he might have to repeat his papers again if he doesn't study hard..'

'Let's enjoy this short life,be happy!'

'You should have a boyfriend to protect you,'

Without realizing,her tears already wetting her face. And then,Woohyun came from behind her back.

"Momo ah.." he hold Momo's shoulders to calm her down. He know that Momo can't accept the truth yet.

Same goes to Woohyun, 'Sunggyu hyung is no longer with us now?' He thought byhimself.

"Woohyun ah! This is..a joke,right?" Momo faced Woohyun. Her heart feels like going to burst in anytime when he saw Sunggyu's picture on the frame.

"Momo....."

"But he promised us,right Woohyun? Last week, he already promised us to go to the planetarium together! But...why...??!! Uhuk.." Her legs went wobbly and she fell on her knees.

"Momo! Kwenchana?"

"Why..sunggyu oppa..why..."

Woohyun and Momo stayed with Sunggyu's family until the end. And they went to Sunggyu's room to packed up all his things.

As soon as they entered the room, it feels so lonely. It feels empty without the owner even though the room was messy.

"Hurm.." Woohyun went for the books on the table and looked throughout them," They're all about the universe. Looks like Sunggyu hyung really likes about the stars,"

Momo nodded weakly," yes..he really likes them until he only collected the books about the stars.haha so childish..right omoni?"

Sunggyu's mom,Mrs Kim just chuckled. " erm,yes. But I never think that they're valuable,hehe"

She got up and tried to pick up a small box at yhe corner of the room."what's this by the way?"

' it's a cookie given from my senior two years ago'

Momo realized and remembered that Sunggyu once said that was an old cookie from 2 years ago in it. "Omoni! Don't touch it! It's rotten cookie-"

Momo stopped her words when something that is not-even-a-cookie fell off from the little box.

Suddenly,the old memories came again one by one

It was a star shaped glass piece from 10 years ago. And Sunggyu kept it in a little box,just like a precious item. So,he just lied to her about the cookie thing..

Momo cried non-stop,"Sunggyu oppa..don't leave me.."

"Momo?" Woohyun came and patted her gently.

It was the only memories left from Sunggyu. The memories that being kept by him for 10 years. Momo never thought that he still kept it. Only the two of them knew the memories from that little thing.

'Why is this happening? I never asked for this. ..'
