jungkook went home right after taehyung found him, demanding hoseok to drive him home right away.
he feels..
guilty.
because he kissed jimin right in front of yoongi, though he didn't know of the feelings hidden behind that mask of blank that the older has held for the short time he had known him.
he didn't know a crush could develop that quickly but he guesses it could, it happened to him.
he took a shower and when he went into his room again, his eyes found their way to his studying area.
at the moment, the younger could care less about the damn test happening tomorrow- or well today seeing it was 3:30 in the morning.
he crawled into bed, tucking his knees to his chest.
jungkook didn't know if his lips still tingled because it was his first kiss or if it was because it actually meant something.
maybe jimin did like him this whole time and he was just being dense.
maybe.
jungkook laid flat in bed, hands on his stomach as he looked at the plain white ceiling that had glow in the dark stars from when he was little, still plastered on.
he remembers the day his father put them up when he just turned ten, he didn't need a night light anymore, so they upgraded to something more not noticeable so his friends wouldn't make fun of him.
he smiled at the memory but frowned at the thought of his father.
the backstory of his father(also the man who inspired him to dance, and was also the reason why he quit) was that he cheated on his mother when jungkook was eleven and was never heard or seen from again.
his eyes finally felt droopy and he fell asleep, still clinging onto the hope that jimin liked him back.
----
it was day of the test and jungkook was well prepared, taking it the third period of school.
there was no sign of jimin, not even in the class that he shared with him.
jungkook sighed and grasped onto the hem of his shirt while walking to the cafe.
"hey baby kook!" seokjin wrapped his arms around the younger as he entered.
jungkook raised an eyebrow, "really? baby kook? that's new."
"yeah so is baby tae," taehyung muttered, crossing his arms in annoyance.
"aw come on i'm just messing with you two," he ruffled the two's hair.
"why are you so happy, hyung?" jungkook asks, shoveling a spoonful of rice into his mouth.
"me and min-soo are going on another date tonight," seokjin smiled.
"wait min-soo? as in the one who cheated on jimin with you or vice versa however the hell you want to put it? the one i specifically told to stop messing with you?" taehyung asks, completely forgetting they haven't told seokjin yet.
seokjin's happy aura disappears as his lips drop to a frown, and jungkook glares at taehyung.
"is it true?" seokjin asks jungkook, who sadly nods.
"god damn it i thought i actually had someone who was genuinely interested in me.. not just for my looks," he sighed.
"it's okay hyung, you'll find someone definitely better than that girl," the youngest of the three put a hand on his shoulder.
seokjin nodded, "i guess you're right, kook." and his smile was slowly but surely back on his face.
"is it just me or have any of you seen hoseok and everyone else?" taehyung questioned, putting his hood up and taking a selfie afterward.
"i haven't. last i saw them was.." jungkook was about to say at the club but he knew seokjin would go batshit crazy on him and taehyung for going to a club on a school night.
to jungkook, seokjin was like an older brother he never got since by the time jungkook wanted another sibling his parents were divorced there was no way he could get one.
"oh jungkook-ah, how do you think you did on your test?" seokjin asks forgetting about jungkooks unfinished sentence a proud smile gracing his features.
"pretty good, i guess." the said boy shrugged leaning against the back of the chair.
"good," the older nodded in satisfaction.
taehyung seems to see something as he perks up, eyes zipping to something.
"taehyung are you okay?" seokjin raises an eyebrow.
"perfectly fine hyung. um i got to go, i'll see you guys later," he gets up speeding away and before the two could see why taehyung was gone.
"now we look more like loners than we usually do, asshole," jungkook said making seokjin hit him on the shoulder for swearing and shaking his head disappointingly.
"mom? is that you?" jungkook asks jokingly.
jungkook receives a glare from the older which makes him laugh, knowing he hates being referred to a mom.
"probably saw more food or some shit," jungkook shrugged, taking a sip of his water.
"you make it so hard for me to be your friend," seokjin huffed.
"yeah but you love me anyway," the younger smiled.
