Stormy Days

Your eyes have clouded over and
The rain is coming down.
It's pouring about steadily.
With all these drops you'll drown.

I can't shake the feeling that it's
My fault for this and more.
The thunder claps as you collapse
And sob down on the floor.

The lightning flashes in a spark
Unleashing hell about.
I start to run and wish upon
This barren land a drought.

The trees all shake with wary breaths
As all begin to hide.
They count the minutes on the clock
And all the time they'll bide.

You curl up in Your den as you
Pretend that it's okay.
The storm outside says otherwise
Through out this rainy day.

I try to get the clouds away
And wipe off all the drops
They keep on falling faster now
I wish that it would stop

The clouds are swirling mystically
Just like your spinning head.
Why are many clouds still up there
Why not the sun instead?

A tree is falling over now
Destroying all in sight
Which is including my own heart
Which in my chest is tight.

You're gasping, reaching, hoping now
For something up ahead
You're crashing, storming, broken now
It's leaving all for dead.

It's all fallen apart for now
All ripped to shreds and torn.
The fun we had a memory
And deep within the storm.
