Long ago my mind walked off
It left me at the battle trough
As I watched the bloody terror of war
As it scattered the souls of the innocent
That day was like no other
That day I lost a brother
To a friend or foe, I couldn't see
Everything's still a blur to me
But all that happens in my head
Is the image of my little brother, dead
And gone as I scream for him to return
But the scrolls of his future continued to burn
I think of him everyday
The image will never fade away
Of what he would never achieve
As his soul and his body parted to leave~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi I haven't written anything in here for forever. I was doing a WWI history assignment when I wrote this and I was thinking about how there are so many that have been forgotten about. 🙏
