Vacation Feelings- A Zane~Chan fanfiction

Hotel Talks

Aphmau's POV  
          Aaron, Katelyn, Kawaii~Chan and I all end up at the hotel, safe and sound. We met up with Garroth, Laurence, Lucinda, Travis, Zane, and Dante, and ate some dinner. Everyone was talking and having fun and laughing, relieved that we weren't driving anymore, but Kawaii~Chan was just eating in silence, staring at... at Zane.
Afterwards, we all said goodnight and went off to our rooms (which were right next door to each other), and I went to check on Kawaii~Chan. I knocked on her door, and Lucinda opened it. "Aphmau! Hey! Katelyn, Kawaii~Chan, and I were just about to watch a movie. Wanna join?"
"Yes, of course! I just need to talk to Kawaii~Chan first...?" I asked as I went around her and awkwardly closed the door.
"Oh! Uh, sure. Kawaii~Chan's just in the bathroom. I'm sure she'll be out in a minute," Lucinda replied. "Now, I'm going to make us some popcorn."
The bathroom door opened, and there was Kawaii~Chan. "Oh! Aphmau-Senpai! What's up?"
"Come, on Kawaii~Chan, we're taking a walk," I said, and I shoved her out the door.
We walked the halls of the hotel, and talked.
"Kawaii~Chan, you've been acting weird today. What's up?"
"Um, well, Kawaii~Chan thinks she might like someone, but she's scared to talk about it!" She mumbled.
"IS IT ZANE?!!!!?!" I shrieked. She looked at me with a panicked expression on her face. "Oh, god, sorry. I didn't mean to say that out loud..."
"IS IT THAT OBVIOUS?!" She screamed. I laughed.
          "Kawaii~Chan, you were staring at him the whole time we were eating dinner!"
          "KAWAII~CHAN WAS?!!!?!!?!!"
          "Well, yeah. But are you gonna tell him how you feel? I've seen him around you, getting all nervous and red," I smiled.
          "It's just that, whenever Kawaii~Chan tries to get involved with someone, it never works, and Kawaii~Chan gets sad and eats her feelings!" She sniffed. I put my arm around her.
          "It's okay, let it out, Kawaii~Chan. There's no one here except us." Then I looked up. "Oh, and Zane." Kawaii~Chan's head jerked up. "Hi, Zane! I yelled. He was about halfway down the hall, and we were at the very end of it. "APHMAU~SENPAI!" Kawaii~Chan whispered.
"Don't worry, Kawaii~Chan. I got you. It's gonna be fine," I whispered, trying to calm her down. "Hey, Zane!" I said, then stopped.
"Oh, hey Aphmau. Hey, Kawaii~Chan. What's up? What are you doing up so late?" He asked, smiling.
"Kawaii~Chan and I were just looking around. We're going to go watch a movie after this. What're you doing up so late? Why do you have a toothbrush?"
        He sighed. "Garroth and Laurence are taking forever in the bathroom, so I'm going to the one out here."
          "Ah. That sounds like them," I laughed. Kawaii~Chan nodded and smiled. "Well, we'd best be getting back to our room. Good night, Zane."
          "Good night, Aph. Good night, Kawaii~Chan," Zane replied.
           I poked Kawaii~Chan's back. "AAH! Oh, g-goodnight, Zane~Kun," she stuttered. We started to go our separate ways, but Kawaii~Chan tripped over her tail. She fell right into Zane, then they both fell and she was on top of him. "Zane~Kun, K-Kawaii~Chan is so sorry! She didn't mean to trip over her tail!" Kawaii~Chan gasped. Zane looked dazed.
          "No, it's fine. Glad I broke your fall. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, Kawaii~Chan is fine. Well, um see you tomorrow, Zane~Kun...?" She got up, and brushed herself off. Zane got up after. "Uh, yeah. Good night, Kawaii~Chan."
I was just stood there, watching this happen. It was very cute, and sweet, and innocent, but it was also very awkward. Kawaii~Chan and I headed back to her room, and she didn't say a word.
