Riku"Master Riku." A deep and shapening voice called out from infront of my desk. I blissfully looked upwards and stared at the man who called my name "Yes?" I answered attentively.
"Your father wishes to speak to you." He bowed and left.
What the hell? Father never calls out to me later this afternoon. What could have prompted it?
I never hesitated to stand up and make my way to the door. As I stepped out, a warm aroma of metal made me cringe. Everything was so cold and so modern that I cannot seem to keep up myself.
Living on a dome made by man, you cannot help imperfections, especially when the freaking earth just got hit by another major planet!
I couldn't refrain myself from hearing all those screams and seeing those little kids hidding from everyone and everything. The sky was so dark. And everything was a nuisance for my father's army. Although we have a dome prepared, we only saved a couple of people and half of them needed rehabilitation from the trauma they got. I remembered a man so pure in heart almost drowing into that pile of mob trying to break in our establishment. Rin's father.~•~•~
"Let us in! "
"Are you planning to kill us?!"
"Our kid's!"
"Save us Please!"
"People are dying out here!"All those screams... I couldn't help but recall. There I was, standing before a huge glass window alongside my father who was staring blankly down at them---being this country's strongest general, he was known to strong and heartless but, it wasn't really a necessary title ti'll my mother got caught in the calamity. I, for one, stared in horror as one of my father's best men started shooting innocent people to decrease the rallying cry.
"D-Daddy-"
The door bursted open and a child about three years older than me appeared , almost strangling my father to death. Two men came chasing in---grabbing him from behind, the boy spoke "You bastard! Let my parents in! You can't just keep them there!" he started going crazy as he struggles out of their grip."Please general! You have to!" he reasoned out until my father held up a hand--signalling for him to stop.
"Why?" my dad's cold shrilling voice asked "Who are they to me?" he pauses "I only saved them because I was ordered to. Even if I were to choose, You should have died along those other people too."
"Y-Your a monster!" The boy accused "You were only doing it because you were told to!"
"It doesn't matter now." My father cuts him off "Your parents weren't there when my wife was being crushed, now weren't they?!"
All I know before is I couldn't just sit back and relax. I held onto my father's pants "D-Dad. D-Don't blame the others for that..." i quietly murmured "D-Didn't you s-say t-that was a b-bad deed?"My father cuts me off by giving back a horrifying glare "It doesn't matter whose Good or Bad anymore!" Then, he turned his gaze to the boy "The world is falling apart goddammit! Do you think that deeds would get you anywhere now?!" He yells "It's every man for himself now!"
"G-General,"
"D-Dad, ""Nobody cares about wether your kept safe or not! Because at the end of the day, when all's lost, You'll die!" I never saw my dad like this before. It was a different and dark aura that seemed to have awakened when mom passed.
I couldn't help but let myself to kneel down in a dumbfounded manner as the boy spoke "You were never the general president Kim ever trusted!" he accused.
My dad stood up straight and tightened the grip of his palms--signifying his anger.
I wanted to speak up but I was too scared.
"The president wouldn't ever let anyone die if he were here!" The boy compared "President kim, is dead!" my dad exclaims.
"And even if he is, does it mean you have to disreguard everything he taught you and entrusted you?!" The boy says "If he were here, are you to let my parents in then?!"
