I know you've got problems
Like when you text a lover,
and they leave you on 'read'
Or when one betrays you,
and you thought you were friends
When you plug in your phone,
but it doesn't charge all night
Or you fail a test and say you hate your lifeBut
I've got problems too
Like when I walk with no shoes
I have a home, but not a house
Yet I face my problems, even through doubt
When the rain drips through the corrugated iron
Or clean water isn't sourced for days on end
I still know there are things to smile uponSo
When you say you hate your life
Or that you want to kill yourself
Think of me, people of my kind
And focus on something else.
