EVANGELINE~!

I woke, shivering in a layer of cold sweat. that dream again. I gulped, boy wanting to remember, but knowing I have to. There was la light knock on the door. "Come in." I said, while Death walked in. "Are you alright? I heard you screaming." He said, with a confused tone. "It's nothing. Just a nightmare. Don't worry about it." I said, but judgeing by the look on his face, he wasn't buying my lie. He sat in my bed next to me. "What did you dream about, Ev?" He asked. I didn't answer. That dream was something I wanted to forget for the rest of time, but remembering keeps you alive. "It was just a nightmare, Death. Sorry for worrying you." I said. He shook his head. "A regular nightmare usually doesn't name someone scream in their sleep. You can tell me, Ev." He said. I laughed slightly. "I don't think so. Not without crying." I said. It was enough to get him to stop, right? I looked over to the Angel. He still had a determined look in his eyes. "Alright. Fine. I had a dream about someone that was important ti.me betraying me in the biggest way. The man I loved tried to kill me, so I just did the job myself." I said, looking over to the Angel. He had a pitying look in his eyes. There's just no end to it, is there? When I was little, because.of my mother dying, I got the pitying looks then as well. I got an abusive father. When do the looks end? Even now, When I'm dead, the looks are still here. I don't regret what I did. Not at all. "Just go back to whatever you were doing. Don't worry over me again. Even if I do start screaming, don't come just to look at me like that." I said coldly, and he left. When he was gone, I let go of the breath I had no idea I was holding. Two tears leaked out of my eyes. I shivered. That was hard. I mean, he was an angel, after all.

DEATH~!

I closed the door behind me, dissappointed. She seemed to be in a lot of pain. Especially the way she screamed. I heard it from across the palace. I reached out with my mind. I felt he girl through the door. Us angels have a bond with our 'students'. We can read their minds. We can communicate with each other with this ability. I reached out a little further. Why did I kill myself for someone so terrible? Why was I cold to Death? It was a bad memory. No one was there to stop my father or Raven. They both were abusive. I just wish someone was there... to at least comfort me. I pulled away, feeling guilty. I was supposed to br that person, but I got lazy. I thought no one could hurt her. I was wrong. No one is invincicle. I had a friend that taught me that. He was the Angel of Hope. He was stolen. He went down to earth for a few days. A demon attacked him, changing him into a Fallen Angel. When he was alive, his name was Ross. He was a good friend.

I paused at the end of the hallway, waiting for a scream from her room, but I got nothing. I nodded to myself, satisfied. This girl is changing me. The phone began to ring. "hello?"

"Castion?"

I scowled. No one has called me that since I was turned into an Angel.

"Who is this?"

"Dieadra. It's been some time."

"You're fallen. What are you doing calling me, scum?" I scowled. I felt choked. Dieadra is a Fallen.

"Well, someone wants your pretty little girl. I suggest you keep her under lock and key, Castion. It wont be easy keeping her safe, considering who you're up against. Guess for me."

"It's Skyra, isn't it?" I scowled again. If I know anything about Dieadra, he doesn't lie.

"Yeah."

I growled, slamming the phone down. "Damn it!" I screeched, before slamming my hand into the wall. Skyra is a Demon. A top level Demon. She should be okay, as long as I keep an eye on her. I walked in the hallway. I perked open her door, to find her staring out her window. "Ev. Follow me, now." This may nit be the best idea, but it's the only one I can come up with under these circumstances. She nodded.
