Kayla's POV:
"Deep breaths Kayla, deep breaths" I said to myself, trying to coax my heartbeat back to normal. It's only the first day back of high school, not the end of the world. I still have my bestie of all time with me, so nothing could go wrong. "Come on Kayla! Get your lazy ass down here!" Shouted mum. As you can tell, my mum is very impatient. My dad however, is quite a laid back and relaxed guy. "Ok! Ok! I'm coming!" I replied while throwing on ripped jeans and an adidas jacket. My style isn't the sort of vibrant look that stands out. I prefer skinnys and tight cropped tops. Typical me.
"Kayla! If you don't get yourself down these stairs I will beat your sorry ass!" Screamed mum.
"I'm coming mom, jeez!" I said. Of course she wouldn't actually hit me, she just threatens me. Running out of the door whilst eating a granola bar, I make my way to school.
At school:
"Hey Katie!" I said. She ran up to me and gave me a hug. "How's my bestie feeling about the first day of school?" She asked.
"Ha , your really asking me that?" I replied.
"Well , you will be so happy that you have school today after I have told you this news!" Katie exclaimed.
"Oh yeah? Shock me!" I said
"Look behind you..."
I slowly turned round hesitantly,
