“She's so beautiful; she looks just like you baby." I smiled as we carried Amina through the doors of our house. We were being extra careful when it came to her and even went as far as to baby proof every corner of every sharp surface before we bought her home. Dinah placed Amina down on the couch as she slept in her brand-new newborn carrier and threw her arms around my neck as we sat down next to her.

“You're going to be an amazing mother Dinah. I can see it in your eyes."

My beautiful wife gave me a loving kiss and curled into my side like a koala bear. I loved the hugs she gave me.

“S-so are y-you. Y-you're so p-patient and und-under-standing."

“Hey, you know what I just realized? Amina was born at 12:23 a.m. today which means she's a Valentine's baby. Are we awesome baby makers or what?" I laughed as Dinah nudged my forehead with her fist and bought her maternity bags back to our master bedroom. We'd added a crib inside our room so we wouldn't have far to go when Amina started to cry in the middle of the night. Our baby was going to be spoiled to death. I jumped a bit when a hand touched my shoulder and grinned from ear to ear when I saw my perfect wife holding our perfect child. Amina had woken from the nap she'd been succumbed to and was staring between Dinah and I with that innocent curiosity all babies seem to look at their parents with.

“She looks like she's hungry." I grabbed a bottled I'd heated before I walked upstairs and handed it to Dinah who adoringly fed her little “mini her".

“So am I." Dinah spoke to herself. She still sometimes spoke quietly when she was afraid or insecure about asking me something in fear that I'd reject or become annoyed with whatever she asked of me. It bewildered me, but the confusion was short lived. Dinah wasn't as comfortable with speaking as I was. And even I hated speaking sometimes.

“Come on. You know you can trust me baby. Anything you want is yours."

“Take-out." Dinah said. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket as she continued feeding Amina and placed our usual orders in for orange chicken, egg fu yung, chicken fried rice, and Lobster Cantonese.

“See? Easy. You're my wife, and my only desire in life is to make you and Amina happy." I loved it when she kissed my cheek and squeezed my hands affectionately. And that's exactly what I got after ordering our food to be delivered. Normally I'd run into town or we'd both go pick it up, but Dinah didn't want Amina exposed to too much all at once before she was even a week old.

“I love you." Dinah cooed as she carefully placed Amina into her new crib. The adorable day old newborn that resembled my queen perfectly babbled and gazed at the stars and noises her mobile crib made to hold her attention. I took the opportunity to place a more passionate kiss to Dinah's lips and smiled as she blushed. Yep, I still had it.

“I was thinking, your body must be so tense after giving birth you know. Maybe after dinner I'll run us a bath and give you a massage.

“Y-you would do t-that for me?" My perfect angel asked. I nodded and kissed my wife again. I just couldn't get enough of how lucky I was to have her.
