It is no secret that Disney is one of the biggest movie producers in the world.  With movies for all ages and genders, Disney is a beloved name in most family homes.

With that being said, does Disney over do it every so often?  It seems as though they pinch every penny they can possibly make out of every movie with their various products, stores, and rides at their famous theme parks.

Now, with a net worth of around 27 trillion, it is no wonder Disney was interested in buy out the Star Wars franchise.  With characters loved by generations and movies that are a sin not to have seen by the time you are thirteen (guilty) Star Wars is one of the most successful serious of our (parents) time.

In 1999 when the first of the, three, prequel movies came out, there were mixed feelings.  The movies differed from the movies that fans had fallen in love with twenty years earlier.  The newer generation however, began to understand why their parents raged over the story of Luke, Lea and Darth Vader.

Back to Disney: Disney and the Star Wars studios are now in the making to cast yet another movie.  Star Wars Episode VII is set to begin shooting in the New Year and has an estimated release date of no later than 2016.

Promises that old characters are returning (the beloved Luke, Lea and Han Solo trio) eases the blow that two new main characters are being cast.  A seventeen to eighteen-year-old female and an early twenty-year-old male raise the question if a whole new plot line will be introduced.  Some think that the attention will be focused on the offspring of the old characters, but that is al speculation.  No one knows just what is going on, other than a worldwide search for the lead characters.

Either this movie will be the greatest movie of the decade, or it will be the laughing stock of the company.  Why push something that was so successful to begin with?  If this movie does not live up to the legacy that is Star Wars, millions of people all over the world will be disappointed and I will sit here saying I told you so.

With that being set, I will leave you to make your own judgments on this seventh installment. I am going to go complete my online audition to play the lead girl.
