"No! Please, please don't listen to her; don't harm her. You were coming to kill me first, right? Please come and kill me. Please. Please!" Slash, and her neck was cut. She was brutally murdered in front of my eyes while I was tied to the chair, feeling helpless, sobbing. He strode toward me, glaring at me; he was laughing maniacally. He slapped me, tortured me, and left without killing me. I didn't see his face because of his mask, but those bloodshot, nerve wrecking eyes, were something that I would never forget in my life. After he left, I somehow managed to free myself, went to my friend, my best friend, who was lying there, lifeless, with open eyes that stared into nothingness. Our phones had been destroyed by him, and the landline had been disconnected. Stumbling, I ran out of the house toward my destination, my only hope for bringing justice to my friend, the police station. They came with me to the house, but what we saw left us speechless. The house was spic and span; my friend's body was missing, the blood stains were gone, and all the things were in their proper place. With my eyes popping out and dread in my heart, I turned to the police, and they were looking at me accusingly. I pleaded and asked them to believe me. I showed them my wounds to convince them. But they did not pay any heed to me as I didn't have any proof of the murder. They warned me to not "play such pranks" and left. I wasn't a stupid teenager to prank the police in such a horrible way; I was a responsible adult!  I had never felt so helpless in my life. I HAD NO BLOODY PROOF!

It had been two years since that fateful day, and the killer was still free. I still had nightmares and often woke up, panting. My best friend had been murdered, and her scream still echoed in my ears. She frequently came in my dreams, cried, and asked earnestly for justice. I wish I had died with her, but instead, I had been left with a huge responsibility; I had to find her killer.

I was craving for justice, and I had decided to take my revenge even if it took forever!
